I will have lap times as well as number of car per heat as well. Each week it morphs into something new lol.

Mods- 19 cars Heat Winners- French,Greg Burt, Jessie Buntin Cars/heat 6,6,7

Top Five- French, Bailey, Sweeney,Burt,Goodman Lap time- French 16.6 in the heat

Notes- Wolfe broke in Hot laps. Jason Miller and Jessie Buntin started up front for the feature.Buntin took the early lead. Bailey and French were moving up fast at the beginning of the race using the top side of the track. Bailey took the lead on lap 3 using the high side. However, a yellow come out for a spin in 4. On the restart it was Bailey back out using the high side. French was up to 2nd by lap 5 French was battling the 3rd place car and they were side by side all the time allowing Bailey to open up about a 3 car lead. Bailey looked to have the race under control however on lap 14 another yellow was displayed as Kirk broke in between 3 and 4. On the restart it was Bailey out again but it was for not as another yellow was displayed for a Jessie Bunton spin in 2. On the restart it was 3 wide out of four but French took the lead on the bottom. That is all French needed as Bailey got close on a few occasions but never really challenged for the lead.

E mods- 14 cars Heat winners-Cross, J Buntin,Sweitzer cars/heat-5,5,4

Top five- Buntin, Sweitzer,Robinson,Jorski,Wiley Jorski had a 17.8s time in the heat

Notes- Silmon and Cross was on the front row for the feature. Cross took the early lead however going into four he spun out on the 2nd lap. Which brought out a yellow. Before the yellow flew Buntin was in second so the spin gave Buntin the lead. On the restart it was all Buntin were by lap 6 he had almost a full straight away lead and he hit lap traffic by lap 11. The battle was for 2nd between Sweitzer and Robinson they were side by side with Robinson on the low side and Sweitzer on the high. Scary part of the race for Buntin was win on lap 12 Carl Bohnstedt spun in turn four and Buntin had no place to go and ran into him. Joey was able to continue and on the restart once again checked out and never was threaten for the lead.

Mini Sprints- 3 cars Heat Winner- Burks cars/heat-3

Top Five- Burks, Gilliam and Martin

Notes- Gilliam and Burks started on the front for the feature. Burks got out to the early lead and Gilliam was catching him by lap four. Gilliam could get a run off of two but never seemed to make it stick. However, the best chance for a pass for the lead was when on the last lap Gilliam pulled right up next to Burks coming out of two. However, Burks pulled away for the lead and the win.

Champs- 14 cars Heat Winners- Tyler Johnson, K Cobb cars/heat 7,7

T Johnson had a 14.7s time in his heat

Top five- K Cobb, Fred Mattox, T Cobb,Kyle Clark, Danny Smith

Notes-Sheldon Barksdale was in the number 41 champ tonight, Interesting heat with Dittman and Mattox as they were saying hello to each other on the caution laps. It got so friendly that Brill had both drivers pull into the infield after the heat so he could talk to them. Both drivers got out of their cars and wanted to say hello face to face. Both drivers went on their separate ways. The feature had Clark and Dittman starting on the front. Clark got out the the early lead however the race had to have a complete restart as there was a stalled car in one. On the restart it was Clark out again however Dittman and Cobb went to the high side.On lap 2 another yellow was flown for Jackie Green and he spun in four. On the restart K Cobb used the low side for the lead. After the pass he went back to the top. On lap 3 another yellow flew for a spun Swift car in 4. On the restart it was all Cobb as by lap 5 he had a full straight on the field. No one had anything on Cobb. On lap 10 Jackie Green spun again bringing out a yellow flag. Once again on the restart it was all K Cobb and by lap 16 he almost had a half a track lead on the field. There were two new cars out there for Brill's. Danny Drake in the F5 car and Bean in his 55 car.

E sprints- 10 cars 9 took the green Heat winners- James, Stinson Cars/heat 5,5

Top Five- I only can give you the winner as two cars were DQ for carbs James won the race

James had a 16 s lap in the heat

Notes- Sturgeon and Swift were on the front for the feature. Swift took the early lead. James was in 2nd with White right with him.Swift had a dominate car early on in the feature. James was a solid 2nd by lap 7. James was catching Swift by lap 10. James finally took the lead using the bottom side from Swift on lap 14. However, Sturgeon and Hurd got together in 3 on lap 14. On the restart James was back out with Swift and Allen fighting for 2nd. Allen was on the bottom and Swift was on the top. By lap 16 Allen was in 2nd pushing James using ever bit of the low line. Allen finally made the move to the lead on the last lap using the bottom of one. The two cars that were found illegal were Allen and Caudle

Mini Stocks- 5 cars Heat Winner- Burger cars/heat-5

Top 5- Burger,Powell,Stauffer,Caraveau,Vickers

Burger had a 18.3s lap time in the heat

Notes- Stauffer and Vickers started on the front for the feature. Stauffer took the early lead. Burger was using the top side of the track. There was three wide down the front straight and Powell used the low side of 4 for the lead on lap 3. Burger was putting pressure on Powell and took the lead on lap 6 from Powell by using the low side of four. After the pass Burger opened up a 1/2 straight lead on the rest of the field and never looked back.

Pro/Street-11 cars Heat winners-Webber, Reed Cars/heat-6,5

Webber had a 17.7 lap time in the heat

Top five- Goodnight.Webber,Osborn, Reed, Flash Flash Gordon

Notes-Williams burnt a tranny in the heat Osborn and Mosby started on the front of the feature. Osborn took the early lead. The race into one and two was three wide. However there was a yellow brought out for Jeremy Allen(welston) spinning on the front straight. On the restart Osborn took the early lead however another yellow came out for a Lehew spin in turn one. On the third restart Osborn was back out however Goodnight was using the high side and took the lead in one and two. In three and four Osborn retook the lead. Going back into one and two Goodnight took the lead for good.Goodnight opened up about half a straight lead by lap 9. No one got close to Goodnight till the end of the race when on lap 18 there was a restart for a yellow. Webber passed Goodnight for the lead but Goodnight used the high side to pass Webber on the last lap.

Notes- On a serious note it was announced that Drew Harless was very seriously injured this week. Details were not given on how he was injured. The announcer said that Drew was close to loosing his life earlier in the week but pulled though. He also said that there is a chance that Drew might loose a leg.

Track got real dusty by feature time. This was the worse I have seen the dust at Brill's. The track was taking rubber in three and four by the time the heats were done.

The ten dollar thing worked well for Brill's tonight. It was one of the biggest crowds I have seen at Brill's since last year's late model race. There was a story in the paper about the 10 dollar car load as well. People were still coming in after the heats had started. Saw one thing that made me proud and what I have been preaching about over and over and over again. There was a family that sat down in front of my father and I. You could tell that this was either the first time to a race or they have not gone very often. The dad pulls out his phone and starts to record one of the sport mod heat races. He only did like 20 to 30 seconds of it. He looks over to his son with the phone and he replayed it for his son and they both smiled. I watched this family off and on all night trying to get a feeling of their experience. The kids were smiling and so were the dads ( 2 dads 2 little boys and a mother). Made me sit back and smile and think this is what this ten dollar car load thing is suppose to do get people in the seats to enjoy races.

On the opposite side of the spectrum I had to shake my head at some actions. There was a gentleman in the stands that was yelling at some other fans for standing up in front of him and he could not see. Which I understand however he was threating them with bodily harm, cussing at them yelling at the top of his lungs. I thought you got all these new fans and kids around and you are acting like a jackass.

I do not know if it was the cold or the late time, races got done at 12, but people started to leave more and more as the features went on.

Well this is my last one for awhile. I might be able to do one or two more at the end of the year. OSU football starts tomorrow and I have season tickets with my mom and my brother. I am sure there is someone out there that can pick up the slack.

Also, I am sorry to any driver that I may have misspelled your name. It was not my intentions. If I did not know who you were in the beginning I used the points on the Brill website.

Erich I have told you this and will call you out. I personally "thank you" for your postings of the recap from Brills each Saturday night. That is exactly what I am looking for here on tidbits, somebody taking notes at the races they are at and posting them here.

Again it is much appreciated

BOOMER SOONER!!!

Here is my recap

Cheeseburgers were Delicious!!!, Ice Tea a bit strong for my liking, but tolerable, bag of chips were good and not stale or out of date ,like some places I have attended that sell out of date soda's as well as other items.Side note: James said Popcorn was quite tasty as well.

Anyway, found that Heat of several of the Champ Sprint competitors layin the iron/bumpers on each other quite a deal to last all race long , have not seen that in a long time , usually it is just a tap and a brush by one another and they move on , where this was quite interesting and even escalated to infield helmet to helmet after the race and at least they left their helmets on. That was quite a lot of drama and the promoter stepped in and said group hug and well they did'nt but it was a nice gesture by Mr. Brill.

Good to see Flash out in the 32G Pro/Street with his little engine that could.

That Kyle Cobb is fast at BMS , just stomps the loud pedal and motivates the 4 car towards the front. Good to see Sheldon Barksdale in the 41 car for his debut, looked better and better as the night went on and of course Cheese smashin the gas through the dust to finish somewhere, just not sure, with the abnormal amount of dust it was somewhat difficult to tell , which I thought was quite surprising as Mark has done a pretty good job at keeping the dust down a few other times I have been there this year.

Anyway liking those E Sprints folks, wave of the future and I think he has gotta a good thing going with that class, leave rules alone and pay some more loot throughout the field and well that class has unlimited potential and tech them , which I see he did and well some were bending the rules last Fri. night.

It's not a full/complete recap like that race reporter Erich , just a few observations that I saw while attending Friday night racing at BMS.

Well Jd it is a good thing Brill's does not have Bruittos's or Cheese might have made a hard right coming down the straight. At least he was not driving backwards.

One of the champ guys wanted a be part of the group hug but I think the other guy was a bit to leary.

I know Flash loves that motor. That is all he can talk about and polishing the black on his car.I just can see Flash out there with a buffer and singing whistle while you work.

You do not want Flash singing. He tried out for Americas Got Talent doing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Voice cracked on a high note and scared small children in the audience. He recovered for the end of the song but was finally DQ'd for wearing his helmet. Microphone kept smacking in to the face shield and blew the PA system wink wink wink

The little motor that could was singin pretty good though! Smile

Don't you have to have teeth to whistle? If so that leaves Flash out...

The English teacher dropped by ... losing is spelled, well, losing. Loosing would be used to describe removing something that was attached to something else -- breaking it loose. Not picking on anyone -- just see that a lot. Like to help where I can. Grammar is about all I have to offer the racing community.
