I saw where Sammy was interviewed after the race and basically bashed Goodyear (which he rightfully should have). But I noticed it wasn't on the Speed broadcast. Kind of interesting. Did anybody else see it and if so, where can I find it again?
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

Once again here is the video as I took it. the tire exploded. You can here it and see it. I think he ran over something.

Why should Sammy bash Goodyear? There were the same amount of blown tires as blown motors and no more than the 10 year average of either.
It's not Goodyear's fault he couldn't figure out what a majority did. Go ahead and blame the tire in 2010, then give me the 33 other excuses for his failure to win the big one.

Give it up on the Goodyear thing. There are so many other factors in those 3 days of racing that effected the outcome. It was so much more than just the tires.

So you expect a guy who just lost a left rear tire with 3 laps to go in the biggest sprint car race in the world to not be upset at the company that made that tire? In the heat of the moment, I'm guessing every single person would've been pissed off at Goodyear. Maybe the tire was cut, maybe he had the wrong tire on (although I doubt this, the tire looked like it had plenty of wear left on it from the close up on the video above), or maybe it was a bad tire and it exploded on it's own. We'll definitely never know. Goodyear might, and Sammy might, but us message boarders probably never will.
Give him a break. He raced the race of his life and lost it. I would've been damn frustrated too

It's too bad the tire blew, because I would have loved to hear about all of Sammy's other problems while standing on top othe podium.

let me ask you this. If you were speed TV, would you air an interview that would be seen as a detriment to future sponsorship of an event? I am sure plenty of speed employees have their opinions of Goodyear, but it would be a big black eye to your major sponsor of the event if Sammy's interview would have been aired. (or Brian Brown if he gave one) To add to that, I didnt see an interview from Kinser either. Maybe he bashed the 50 lap race and pit stop as being reasons he lost his motor? just speculating though. As much as many of you dont like it, you cant bite the hand that feeds you. It would be like bitching about the farmer with your mouth full!! I knew the second i saw his interview, they wouldnt air it on the broadcast of the event. common sense, not conspiracy

Kinser pulled in on lap 31, I seriously doubt the stop had anything to do with him losing the motor. But I don't know maybe Saldana also bashed the 50 lap race after losing his motor on lap 7 haha.
I'd like to have heard an interview from Shane Stewart, a team like that making the podium and they also lost the motor at the checkered.

they did interview Shane and he had nothing but positive things to say about his car and team including the fact that to him a podium finish is like a victory in itself

I heard basically the same right after the race in the press room from a photog who was near when they interviewed Sammy. He basically said there's wasn't a chance in hell that SPEED would air Sammy's interview....

I heard his interview on youtube, and said "no way thats getting air time" As far as Kinser goes, either he declined comment, or said something negative about the 50 lapper. I'm a big Kinser fan, but I am also a realist. I think he didnt like the whole 50 lap/pit stop idea. Probably not a lot of positive publicity for speed to air.

and as far as Sammy goes, i dont think there is a one of us that wouldnt have had the same negative reaction as him. they shove the camera in your face 3 minutes after you just lost $150,000!!! I am going to be a huge d#$%head!!!! i dont care who the sponser is at that time! Speed needs to care, but drivers in the heat of the moment will say what they are going to say!

That is why they run right to them as fast as they can,,, to get them to say stuff like that
Alls I can say is that Sammy was in the pits as long as anyone on Saturday and I honestly thought that was great... he is usually out of there as fast as the Dude....

Ok my bad. When I was taping the race I kinda tuned out for a bit after the checkered and waited for the broadcast to end.

Lake... seriously???
I'm no Sammy fan, but you actually thought the LR was looking a little low while lit up wide open at Kville??
You must have superman eyes, because I didn't think they were racing a daytime show on Ratbag at Gas City... Lol
Give me a break!
