Cody Morris, TULSA,OK (August 30 2010) - Call it the 7th inning stretch. Call it the two minute warning. Call it the calm before the storm. But come Friday, September 3rd in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the wait will end. The ferocious action of the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions will explode upon the famed and feared 1/8th mile high banks of Port City Raceway for a 2 night Labor Day Weekend Special.

While Labor Day Weekend is a time to relax for most, it will be anything but for the Lucas Oil ASCS2 stars. They will be greeted by one of the most talented and accomplished groups of weekly mini sprint competitors, and at one of the toughest tracks to tame in the Mini Sprint Nation. And as if that were not enough, each of the three Lucas Oil ASCS2 point leaders enters the fray with no more than a 44 point advantage over their pursuers.

In a battle that has engulfed the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw division since the first green flag fell on the ASCS2 stars in March, many expected to see Norman, Oklahoma star Christopher Bell capitalize on home turf in recent I-44 Speedway action.

However, Sapulpa, Oklahoma warrior Blake Hahn dashed those hopes, outgunning Bell in both I-44 outings. As the series shifts to Hahn's home turf of Tulsa, Bell will now have that same opportunity to play spoiler, while also trying to narrow his 44 point deficit to Hahn in the 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Championship Chase.

Not to be outdone, Pryor, Oklahoma native Frank "The Legendary" Flud has throw himself into the mix, with a recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw score at I-44 reducing his deficit to a manageable 71 points.

As Bell looks to gain in the Outlaw division, he must also look to defend in the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing division, leading Pauls Valley, Oklahoma native Steven Shebester by a narrow 19 point edge after a pair of rough outings for the young pilot. But Bell carries a great deal of momentum into the Labor Day Weekend Special, having swept most recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing action at Port City with June 18th and 19th scores, as well as a victory in most recent Port City Raceway Non Wing weekly action.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native Shelby Byrd enters the event third in the 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing Championship campaign. A Lucas Oil ASCS2 winner in August 20th Non Wing action, Byrd looks to duplicate that 2 day run that saw him eliminate nearly half of his deficit to Bell, now trailing the Norman, Oklahoma point leader by 122 markers.

The Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted division shares the familiar theme of its' series counterparts, as West Plains, Missouri pilot Logan Martin once possessed a comfortable lead over Hulbert, Oklahoma ace Karley Kay Dobson. What was once a 126 point Martin lead has since been sliced to a mere 30 markers by Dobson.

While Martin carries six 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted wins into the weekend, including a Port City sweep in June, Dobson has finished 3rd or better in each of the past 12 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted feature events.

A sweeper of Memorial Day weekend action at Port City, Sand Springs, Oklahoma native Dalton Wisely enters the Labor Day weekend action 3rd in the 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted Championship Chase, 138 points behind Martin's leading pace.

The September 3rd and 4th Lucas Oil ASCS2 events at Port City Raceway will mark the final Sooner state stops of the 2010 campaign, before moving on to Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas for a pair of doubleheaders to bring the 2010 campaign to a close.
