Ok a added feature to this weeks results is lap times of all the classes from selected drivers. After discussion ealier in the week about speeds of classes of cars. I was curious on what lap times were.I did the lap times with my phone.

Pro/Street Stocks- 15 cars Heat Winners- Mosby,Dixon( Williams finished 2nd on a flat RR), Wolfe

Top Five-Reed,Wolfe, Williams I will explain why I did not get the other two

Lap time on Reed for feature was about 18.3seconds

Notes- A car from Creek came down to run with the pros. Tucke and Mosby started on the front for the feature. Tucker took the early lead going in to one. Reed was moving up though the field fast at the drop of the green. Reed took the lead over on lap three with a pass on the inside. On lap 5 a very scary incident happened when Dixon(94) hit the front wall hard. The hit knocked Dixon out for a few mins. However, when the track officials got to Dixon he said he was ok and came out of the car on his own power. When the cars restarted after the Red flag was displayed Williams had a tough time getting her car to shift into high gear. Finally she did get it into high. Wolfe also went to the hot pits during this time. When he came back he tagged the back of the field. On the restart Reed was back out and looked strong. Lap 7 Webber was battling Reed for the lead however coming out of four Webber's car bobbled and Reed built a sizable lead and giving Wolfe 2nd. Wolfe was using the high side and Reed was using the low side. On Lap 13 Wolfe took over the lead.Wolfe had good conttold of the race untill the last lap where he got a little loose which allowed Reed to catch up. The two drivers were side by side coming into four and out of four on the last lap. They were rubbing metal, tires and what not as they crossed the finished line. The people in the stands did not who won till the scorekeepers had there word.

Mini Sprints- 5 cars Heat Wiiner-Travis Cobb .

Top Five Travis Cobb, Gilliam,Oldman(sp), Burks, Lathrop

Travis turned in a 16 sec lap time in the feature

Notes- Cobb and Burks started up front for the feature. The first start was a bad one so they tried for a second restart which was a go and T Cobb was out. He led the race from flag to flag with not real pressure from anyone. The race was between Oldman and Gilliam early on. Which Gillaim passed Oldman on lap 7 and could never catch Cobb.

Champs- 10 cars Heat winners-Cheese B.Jennings( his motor held together, looked strong), Harless

Top Five- Swift,Whit Gastineau,T Cobb,B. Jennings, and Lambert

B. Jennings had a 14 second lap in the Heat

Notes- Both Gastineaus were there tonight. Kevin Pickard was going to make an apperance as well. However, learned that he had tranny problems in his hauler. K Cobb broke during hot laps. Car lost all power. Brandon and Richard Hitt started on the front for the feature. Brandon was out early but Swift was all over him. On lap 3 Swift took the lead with a slide job. After the passs Swift opened up about a half straight lead. Swift had the race under control. On lap 9 the yellow was displyed for a Hitt spin in 2. Also Lambert tap the wall which sent him the the hot pit on the hook. Both Lambert and Hitt got back in the race. Lambert started on the back since he went to the hot pit. Restart on lap 9 had Swift back out and Whit passed Brandon for 2nd. The race was between Cobb and Jennings as they were back and forth for 3rd and 4th.. By lap 14 Lambert had moved to the 5th postion. On Lap 17 Hitt spun again which brought out another yellow. But, Swift had the field under control.

Mods- 14 Cars Heat winners- Goforth,Crabill, Day

Top Five-Day,Goforth,Swenney,Bulter, Goodman

Goforth had a 17.3 second lap time in the feature

Notes-Butler and Friederich on the start of the feature. Butler got out for the early lead however the yellow was displyed for a Friederich broken front end. Which made the field have a complete restart with Butler and Roach on the front. On the start it was Butler and Roach side by side going into the first turn on out of two. With Roach talking the lead at the flagstand. Goforth was all over Roach and by lap 3 Goforth had the lead. Day tool 2nd away from Roach on lap7 with an inside move. Goforth had about a two car lead on Day. Lap 9 saw roach take the car to the pits. On lap 10 saw a yellow come out for a stalled Crabill in one. On the restart it had Goforth out but Day was trying the high to make a pass. By lap 15 you had Day and Goforth side by side for the lead with Day taking the lead out of two. After Day took the lead he was on his way to a win easily.

Sport Mods- 15 cars Heat Winners- Robinson( 26 car) Cross,Chesser

Top Five- Sweitzer,Robinson,Chesser,Silmon,Walker

I had Robinson with 17.6 seconds in the feature

Notes- Silmon and Tyler on the front for the feature.First attempt was a bad start so a second attempt was good with Silmon out early. Cross was on the inside and Sweitzer was on the move though the pack fast. On lap 2 a yellow was thrown for Taylor getting a little loose wich collected three cars that were trying to avoid Taylor. On the restart Silmon got out but Robinson was making a run to the inside for the lead. Cross took his car to the pits on lap two as well. By lap 7 Robinson and Sweitzer were battling for postion. However on lap 9 a yellow was displayed for a Taylor broken front end. On the restart Robinson got out front however Sweitzer was all over him for the lead. Sweitzer took the lead and never looked back for the checkered.

E Sprints- 8 Heat Winners-White, J. Allen( in Taft's car)

Top Five- Allen,Caudle,Huard, James, Stinson

White turned a 15.7s time in the heat.

Notes- The new car that I thought was going to be there last week was there this week. It is the 83 car of Forsgren. Sturgeon and Allen started on the front for the heat. Allen out at the start. Allen and Huard got together going into one. Neither car was hurt although Huard had to be push to get started. Also White pulled his call to the infield as something was a miss on his car. White got a push to the hot pit and came back out but pulled the car back into the infield before the restart of the race. On the restart it was all Allen as no one had anything for him. Stinson spun bringin out the yellow. On the restart James got over Huard and got in the air however he came back down on all fours. On the last lap coming to the flag. Stinson got loose and Huard passed him for 3rd.

Mini Stocks- 5 cars Heat wiiner-Burger

Top Five- Powell,Caraveau,Stauffer, Burger,Jordan

There was a 19 sec time but in during the feature

Notes- Jordon and Caraveau started on the front for the feature. Caraveau got out to the front however Powell was all over him for the lead. Powell never could get by. There was rubbing and pushing all during the feature. Which should have told what was to come. On the last lap of the feature Powell and Caraveau were side by side on the back. Coming out of four they got together and both got sideways and were hung up. They finally came about with the 21 spinning across the finsih line in second and Powell winning the race.

My Thoughts- Nice night for racing. Temp at the beginning of the night was perfect. Got a little chilly by the end of the night though. Track was tacky all night. Crowd was excellent at the beginning of the night as you could have filled up both ends of the grandstands. Crowd started to get less and less as the night went on. Races were done at 12:30. Kinda had a little charge in the air tonight. There were 7 quads racing tonight as well. They turned in a 18 second lap time during the heat race.

Next week is Friday night racing at Brill's with races starting at 8 and ten dollor car load to get in. So if you had two people in a car it is ten bucks. If you have 40 people in a car then it is also ten bucks.

Pretty controversial call in the pro stocks. From my view point Wolfes nose was in front at the second pole.

Once again Erich, nice job......Here's a few notes from the pit side. In the Pro/Street Stocks it was Justin Tucker #71 and Jeremy Allen #52, 4th & 5th or vice versa. Gil White had some kind of drive shaft problem. Kyle Cobb had a problem with the oil pump which finished him for the night, and in the Mini Stock feature, rumor was that Stanley Powell was DQ'd for rough driving......and finally.....there was a Kenny Mossman sighting last night!!!!

Guess Kenny had to squeeze in one last dirt track race before the official start of his season.

Pro Stock feature was a good one! It was an extreamly close call but I would have to say that Johnny won! And for the 44 car we broke a gear in the heat race. We got a new one put in before feature time then broke an axle.

This is my opinion, If a driver door slams you in turn 1&2 knocks your left front tire down, just because he is driving over his head and is allowed to push up into you after you have came from the back and passed him again, That's Bullcrap!! Anytime we Pass the 1J he tries to take us out. Last week the 41G was a better car than we were, But we sucked it up and went on, without rough driving. Bottom line is! We pass clean and expect that from others and as far is the finish goes, We have it on tape! The 15 was in front of the ?J at the Black Stripes!

Let me go on the record as saying that I just post what I see. When two cars get together rather it was a racing deal or not I post they get together. The only time I will post that it was not a racing deal is when it is obvious.

I am not getting any type of benefits from the track by doing this. The posting results and race recaps is on my own doing.

As I told someone when drivers have a beef with one another then I will let them speak it themselves.

Eric, So what you are saying is? It wasn't obvious? My reply was not meant for you or your posting. It was my opinion on what happened during the race. I have no beef with the 1 car, I just want him to stay off of mine!

Brain, if I say one thing or another it will get parties in a tizzy. I just report what I see. It might be that I am blind in some ways but I just report it without trying to single out one or another.

I'll get flamed for this, but you have to be a good race fan to sit through four-car heat races. Man, I miss what we had.

OK, good, I don't feel as badly. May I also say that, as a fan, I hate it when a promoter starts at 8:30 and then throws in an intermission at 10:30? It was at that point, and on the heels of the 4-car heats, that this man, who thought he loved sprint cars so much that he would pay to watch one sit still, was broken. I went to my car and drove home.
