Tri-State Speedway Presents: "Razorback Nationals"

Tulsa, Oklahoma (August 23, 2010) – Tri-State Speedway in Pocola Oklahoma presents the action packed open wheel winged sprint cars of the Oil Capital Racing Series in the first running of the "Razorback Nationals" this Saturday night. The Razorback Nationals will be the next to last stop at Tri State for the OCRS sprinters in 2010 with the final Tri State invasion to take place latter in the fall. OCRS last made a trip to Tri State on the 2010 tour back on May 1st. At that event, Stilwell's Rafe Essary overcame a tough field of competitors to snare the victory. It would become the first of his two wins this season.
Saturday night will make the 17th OCRS event conducted on a schedule that is slated for a total of 26 races for 2010. Defending OCRS champion Jamie Passmore (6 wins) of Rose Oklahoma leads the point standings with Essary second and Tulsa's Mike Goodman (2 wins) in third place. Travis "Hollywood" Jenkins (1 win) holds a three point advantage over Danny Smith of Sand Springs (2 wins) for the fourth spot.
Fans can expect a night of high speed racing action with fierce wheel to wheel combat as the warriors of the OCRS series look to sling it out amongst one another. Tri State Speedway has a long and rich racing history in the eastern Oklahoma / western Arkansas area and a victory at such a facility is a victory that a driver can take pride in forever.
