Schedule Change Announced for August 28th at Cowtown Speedway
Kennedale TX (8/23/10) by DarinShort.com. Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale has opted to postpone the scheduled August 28 ASCS regional event to a later date. The date will be announced when it become available.
This Saturday’s program will feature a special paying point's night of racing for four divisions and is sponsored in part by Performance Transmissions of Kennedale. Also joining the racing card will be the Texas Winged Modified Association paying $500 to win.
The Performance Transmissions raceTX.com Limited Modifieds will be racing for $600 to win. $500 will be on the line to win the A-class Winged 600’s, while $225 to win the Cowtown Bombers and the Restricted Winged 600’s will have an additional $100 added to their purse. There is no entry fee in any of the racing divisions on August 28th.
Rounding out the night’s racing action will be the annual, entertaining “Bomber Powder Puff” race.
The pits and grandstands will open at 5:30pm, with hot laps at 7 and races at 7:30. At the time of writing, more seasonable temperatures are forecast for Saturday night’s races – offering fans and race teams a break from the recent heat wave.

Adult tickets at the gate are just $12, with youth tickets $5 and kids $2. All pit passes are $30. Small coolers (the size of a 6-pack) are allowed in the stands, but no glass containers are allowed.

The race day forecast is looking much more pleasant than the past several weeks.
Forecast temperatures of 90 degrees at hot laps (7pm) falling into the low to mid 80's throughout the night with light southern breezes (to your back in the stands). No precip is currently forecast.
