Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, guess again, it's Austin Alumbaugh flying around the State Fair Speedway. Man was this guy hooked up and flying. Austin and his crew must have made all the right decisions as far as how to set the race car up for this dry slick track. Austin took off and never looked back, he might as well of had a blue cape flowing off the back of the car the way he was motoring his way around the old half mile. After every restart Alumbaugh took off like a speeding bullet.
The other great part of this race was in the closing laps when Alumbaugh and 2nd place finisher Johnathan Cornell were dicing and cutting thru lap cars at great neck speeds. First Austin would deal with a lap car then Cornell would take his turn passing.
What a way to bring the 2010 State Fair to a close, fun race to watch as it unfolded. Enjoy.

Great win for Austin!!! Lots of young guys at the front. Watching Brown dominate those Sedalia races was getting boring.

this was a great race if you like follow the leader on a rubbered downed race track. this is the 2nd time ive been to a sprintcar race at sedalia this year and the first time with the woo there is was also a rubbered down trace. the first cars out was the late models for hot laps and it was already rubbering down. whomever does the track prep is a joke and i wont go back until they find a replacement.

I was told today that the fair board because of heavy rains in the area had put down wood chips on the front straightaway for a concert the night before and told the track crew they had to take it up their by delaying track prep for this race by some four hours.
However I have also been to many races at State fair Speedway and most the track is generally dry slick by feature time. It is the nature of the beast when you go their. I am sure the promotors put every effort into making the track as arcie as possible under the conditions. Mike K.
