So is this the rule that allowed Dollansky to rebuild his car after the cars were on the track for the A main? Also, the red flag was thrown before the initial green to allow the work to be done and there was no time limit.
From what I understood, Brad Sweet applied some payback due to a problem in the dash with CD.
Most on the DV chat were not pleased with this call. The details were not explained either until CD mentioned it in his victory lane interview.
2010 WoO Rulebook
5.7(C.) Once the allotted time (announced at the driver’s meeting) allowed for beingon the track or in the push-off lane, ready to race, has expired, any late car will be penalized two (2) starting positions. Any car pushed after the field has started assembling must start at the rear of the field. This rule may be adjusted from time-to-time, “EIRI”, at the discretion of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Director

H.) In the event that there is ‘Interference’ and a race car is inadvertently orpurposely hit by a push truck, pace vehicle or other race car during push-off,
or under yellow flag conditions or other non-racing activity and such incident
is witnessed by a World of Outlaws Official then repairs can be made to the
contacted vehicle and that car will resume it’s running position.
I covered this rule when the red flag was dropped before the start of the A-main.

The above rule was copied from page 16 of the WoO rulebook.

You are correct (as always) Gib ... I heard you explain it when the red came out. It only makes sense to let a guy repair his car if he's hit - whether by accident or on purpose (as it was apparently last night) - if not a pissed off driver could take out anyone they want before the race even starts.

Then I heard JG explain it but didn't hear the rule quoted or identified. This was a first for me or to remember a rule applied in this way.

That must be why Brad Sweet pulled in before the race started ... he must of made contact with Craig D before the A main and the WoO parked him.

I was working with a local racer in the pits the other nite in minot seen the wreck in the dash was there contact between the two yeh maybe
did the 49 ever intend on doing more than taking the green and parking just to get points in my and many others in attendence opinion. had no intention to run any more than he did car was really screwed up and would not have been competitive
that being said people had been sitting in the stands for five maybe six hours when it happened I had went to the stands to watch and basicly he just plowed cd I think it for one was wrong for woo to allow him to continue and even take the the green so he could get his points after those actions that made a long night even longer due to someones own agenda for revenge
should have craig been able to fix his car hmm had it been a local/regional guy not woo would they have been given the same consideration I am not so sure would have playeed out the same way
after returning to the pit I did overhear a coversation between a majorplayer with kkr and ex-owner of another major team ? did he intend on racing or start and park answer start and park .
was it the intent of brad sweet to go out and wreck dollansky? I guess that is a ? for mr. sweet did he have a beef ? could it have been handle better ? my opinion yes yes yes big waste of time for everyone involved ? big yes

I have been watching outlaws B4 there was such a thing as the WoO.
I can assure you I have NEVER seen them show favoritism to one of their drivers!

I should hope so. He should be suspended from WOO competition too IMO.

dolansky's only getting back what he has been doing to everyone else only thing Brad had the balls to do it instead of hiding behind a "racing" incident

Yeah that takes some balls to take someone out on the track under caution. If he had any balls he would have confronted him face to face in the pits. Pulling a stunt like that is a chickenshit maneuver. I know Dollansky can be pretty aggressive sometimes but you don't handle it like that. JMO

Didn't Sammy get ran into right before the World Challenge this year at Knoxville? Did he get time to repair his racecar?

That was not a WoO sanctioned race and he drove to his pit and threw the steering wheel out the front of the car ... IF he had wanted time to fix it he may or may not have gotten it ... but I reckon we'll never know the answer to that one.

the point I was making is that had it been anyone other than an outlaw would have been in the pit and line em up and go
also brad sweet never intended to go more than start and park (car was bent) race had not even started they had just barely started the cars to line-up I don't care if craig had it coming it was chicken**** move to crash him during the parade lap it was not just a little bump to rattle him took ten minutes in the pit to fix the front end he plowed him

I wasn't there...didn't see it happen....but....if Brad ACTUALLY did it there had to be a good reason!
He is not the type to just "pull something out of the hat!"
