I have sat back and watched the Goodyear complaints here and this is enough. It was a dry, rubber down track and a few tires let go. That would have happened no matter who the tire manufacturer was!!!!

Understandable. I am just getting sick and tired of all the posts bashing Goodyear. I have seen some of the best racing this year and I don't care who the manufacturer is!!! Fact is, drivers and crew will push the limits of their cars and tires, tires will give out under the stress of sprint car racing (just like they always have), and everybody is on the same playing field.

Goodyears are terrible tho!!! It shouldn't have to be a game of luck, hoping that your tires will hold up! Sprint cars are suppose to go run a sprint race! That is 25-35 laps of hard, flatout racing. It takes away from the sport. These things blow constantly and consistantly. It makes me sick to watch them shred every single night the World of Outlaws race. It's just not fair to anybody at all. SAVE US HOOSIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

How come it's the tires? Did everybody running the main have a tire "just let go"? There are so many variables, that you cannot possibly blame the tires. Folks, you're just upset because there is a mandatory tire rule, and you have no say so in what tires WoO will run. I don't hear any team owners outright blaming Goodyear, only armchair racers.

50 races
no wins
7 top 5's
17 points ahead of 10th place Lasoski
I really doubt Dana will let Steve replace him.
Last year I thought it was the car/team.
I have no idea why such poor performance this year.

I have no idea why such poor performance this year.
Just a guess .... maybe because it's tough out there ???
Only 17 markers in front of Lasoski in 10th?? That 10th place driver has won several of the 'granddaddy's' of 'em all and is a multi-time Knoxville season point champion??
KK is still in front of him ...
4 time Knoxville Nats. winner and defending WoO ponts champion isn't really in the hunt for a championship in 2010....
It just isn't easy out there .... and I'd guess 10th place would agree with me. (Along with 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th ..........)
Some of these drivers are just off a smidgen on tune up, tires, or chassis/shocks (who knows what .... obviously if they did ....they'd fix it) and it has major performance ramifications.

" That 10th place driver has won several of the 'granddaddy's' of 'em all."
"has" being the key word.
Please refer to original post by stefanni.
I simply provided his performance so far this year.

No worries ....I agree it isn't there and their performance is lacking ... I just feel it is tough for about everyone from 4th on ...it can't be easy grinding it out night after night.
Yes ...Lasoski is stuggling .... but I doubt he's forgotten how to drive a sprint car so I would offer it is something else.
KK has won a Knoxville Nats too ...it isn't their driving I feel .. just off somewhere.
If you are a fan of KK ..you are hoping they find the issue.
