DES Racing Looking Forward to Weekend of Racing After Week Off
August 18, 2010…Rio Vista, CA…After a week at the Knoxville Nationals the DES Racing team is ready for two nights or Northern California 410 sprint car action. Racing team members Dan Simpson, Danielle Simpson, Jayson Debo, George Hague and Gary Thomas attended the 50th Annual Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa. After four nights of watching the best sprint car drivers in the world the team is fired up and ready for a full weekend of racing.
This Friday the team will head for their home track at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico CA for the next to last points race of the season. Danielle in her number 6up sits 12th in the weekly Silver Dollar series with dad, Dan, in the 14th spot, with both running a limited series this year. Two weeks ago at Silver Dollar Speedway Danielle won her first heat race of her 410 career and is looking for bigger and better results after the week off.
On Saturday night the team heads to the final race of the 2010 Golden State Challenge Series at the high banked super fast ¼ mile track at Placerville Speedway, settled in at the foot of the Serrias. The 2010 point standings finds Dan Simpson aboard the D.E.S. Inc, DryVac, Flowmaster number 4s in the 15th spot and rookie Danielle in her 6up sponsored by Simpson Percherons, DryVac, Flowmaster and D.E.S. Inc, sitting in the 16th position.
The team will next head for the final race of the Silver Dollar points series next Friday before heading to the World of Outlaws swing through the North West starting in Cottage Grove Oregon on Wednesday, September 1st and then on to Skagit, WA on September 3-4 , Elma, WA on September 6th and concluding the swing at the prestigious Gold Cup Race of Champions at Chico's Silver Dollar Speedway September 9-11.
