If Donny Knoxville had won his 5th consecutive Nationals would we still be talking about how great the 50th was? For me it was a great race no matter who won!

That one will go down as one of the best by alot of people regardless of who won. Great races all week, even the day show was pretty good. We had to deal with some rain and heat but all the fans were great. As a resident of Knoxville I got to tell ya, we love the Nationals and can't wait till next year.

It was made great by how it ended. If Schatz had merely run out the final 3 laps, it would have still been memorable but not as much.
The fact that Schatz started to sputter and was overtaken by a first-time winner who is the first non-WoO in 20 years to win the race puts it a notch above "memorable."
Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.
