I'm not gonna' speak for Mike, but I will add my 2 cents on the situation. I really don't think Nelly hates the Posse teams at all, or any sprint car drivers for that matter. In fact, in the past he's always had tremendous respect for the drivers, no matter where they hail from or race. It's always been my opinion that he does it simply to get under the skin of the Posse fans. Who, quite honestly, in a lot of ways, can be quite annoying with their "passion" for sprint car racing in central PA. I'm not bashing their loyalty or support, just stating the way I've always seen it.
The Posse gets a lot of respect from other teams around the country. From the Outlaws (I know first hand that they KNOW how tough of a time they're going to have when they come to the Grove), from other sanctions and tracks, from other promoters, and even other announcers around the country. Everyone always talks about how tough the PA teams are.
So, all of this is just my opinion, but Mike knows what's what. he's not stupid in any way shape of form (well maybe a little less smart lately being back in Canada, hahaha). I know he's had long-running friendships with some of you guys from PA, but I seriously think he does it for "jollies" against the PA fans, and that might partly be due to the fact that some of you guys make it soooo damn easy.
