It looks like the heaviest of the rain this afternoon will miss Knoxville. The late evening forecast has more rain, but hopefully will be able to get tonight's events in. Even if they have to run tonight's races tomorrow during the day, the track will hold up. It was really good a few years ago when that happened.

That year was my first, and only, trip to the Nationals. 07 I believe. That year the Wednesday night program got rained out (one of the most wicked storms I can remember being a part of) and everything got pushed back. Worst heat I've ever encountered at that Saturday afternoon show. Had to of been 100 degrees easily. I could only take it for so long, especially with a hangover from the night before. They did a nice job reworking the track for the finale Saturday night and it was a great time.

The chances of rain goes down as the evening goes on.
7:00 has a 30% chance of rain. Then it slowly goes down until around 5AM where there is currently 0%.
One good thing about the rain... at least we won't be dealing with 95+ degree heat.
