Some notables in the qualifying order....

The king rolls out 8th...his career long nemesis (Sammy) drew the worst number in the bucket...times 50th

Pittman 1st out , Hodnett 6th in line and Mcmahan 11th..

T Dub, TK, and the Dude in the first 20 but may not be much racetrack left for these guys...

Brown, Schatz, Smith and Hafertepe are gonna have to look hard to find some good dirt

Haud, Blaney, Tatnell, Jacobs and Dewease don't roll out until most of the crowd has consumed a six pack...then Swindell finishes off the night.

Oh how I would love to see the #11 be the high point man tomorrow morning....for old times sake if nothing else..looks like he took care of the first step to gettin it done....

Really anxious to see how much the late draws affect the times of some heavy hitters tonight.

Sammy fans have an excuse if he struggles. Question is....if he does have troubles and ends up out of the A or B main...does he stick around for Fri Sat or does he bail?

What I would like to see is a perfect score. It's been a while and as long as it ain't Sammy or Shatzy, I would like to see it again.

How long has Knoxville used Pork Chop to entertain during the downtime? Whoever thought of using a comedian to kill time deserves a Guiness.

Is anybody able to stay on the Knoxville results page after it updates? Where else can I find up to the minute results? SteveKinser.com still just has last nights

top four in each heat to the A, next four to the B, last two to the C. Logan gets a shot around Garner to lead. Kinser takes that gold car to the final transfer already. Garner still hanging on to second with Smith right behind. Smith narrowly makes a slide job work on Garner but then Garner takes it back. They are having a great race. Yellow at lap seven for Wasmund who stops in turn four. Restart: Kinser puts a slide job on Garner for third. Kaeding slowed and pulled in. Fight for the final transfer but Garner keeps it.

False start on the original. Next time goes green and Schatz makes a huge run getting up to third at the first lap. Jacobs leads Blaney. Top three pulling away. Yellow at lap two as Lasoski spins out at the front push off lane. It appears he was trying to pull in and spun out as he is going right to his pit. Motor is blown. Restart: Blaney to the inside with a slide job for the lead. Tatnell is holding fourth. Moughan is really trying to get around Tatnell for the final transfer. Now Moughan just drives around Tatnell. meyer also giving it a shot. Yellow at lap seven for Shirek, who slows. The fight for the final transfer between Moughan, Tatnell and Meyer will be really interesting. Restart: Meyer around Tatnell. Schatz now second from Jacobs. Meyer closes on Moughan and puts the slider on.

Our local boy Phillips is really showing how great our weekly drivers can be. Slide jobs by the top two in every corner. Jackson has gotten fourth. Dewease now pulls away and Hodnett slides by Phillips.

Sammy looked good and should have a very good starting spot for the A. Kinser, Haud, Sammy and Shatzy should put on a good show, but it will be hard to top the heats.
