FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LIGHTNING SPRINT CARS RETURN TO THE PAS SATURDAY!

(AUGUST 12, 2010, LAKESIDE, CA) The California Lightning Sprint Car Series returns to its home track, Perris Auto Speedway, this Saturday night, August 14th. Joining the CLS on the program will be the PASSCAR Street Stocks, Super Stocks, Modifieds, Sport Mods, Pick-A-Part Factory Stocks, NMRA ¾ Midgets and the CDCRA Dwarf Cars. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 5:30.

Two weeks ago at the last CLS race at the Bakersfield Speedway, 28-year-old Jarrett Kramer, of Spring Valley, notched his third win of the 2010 season. Kramer was inside the third row on the original start of the 20 lap main event. However, a five car tangle in turn three on the first lap, brought out the yellow flag and allowed Kramer to move up to the inside of row two for the restart.

By the end of the first go round, Kramer was up to second place. He chased down initial leader Dan Hillberg and took the lead on lap three. The veteran racer then led the final 17 circuits for his third win of the 2010 campaign. A.J. Bender of Ramona, the series point leader, moved up to the second spot on lap four, but could never catch Kramer. At the checkered flag, Kramer had a half straight away lead over Bender for the win. Placentia's Hillberg took third with Seth Kramer, also of Spring Valley, and Lakeside's Carl Von Yokes rounding out the top five.

Heading into this Saturday's race at The PAS, Bender, a 17-year-old teenage racing sensation, has a 25-point lead over Kramer in the championship point standings. Bender's older sibling, Bobby, also of Ramona, is third in points going into Saturday's event. Hillberg and Anaheim's Dale Gamer occupy positions four and five.

This Saturday, for one of the few times in 2010, the Lightning Sprints will be taking off their wings and racing commando style.

DVD's from Saturday's race will be available form Raceway Video. You can visit their website at: www.racewayvideo.com. You can also call: (818) 618-9764
