From Darin Short:Quote:
Event update:
About 1/2 of the concrete slabs for this event are reserved by drivers, I would guess that they will sell out within the next two weeks or so. If you're needing one for your rig (and remember, you can park it for the weekend and leave it if you'd like), click the following link to get yours reserved:

Thanks and have a great weekend! |
Here's some more info from the TMS event paphlet:

September 3rd is the pre-entry deadline. That's just a week from Friday so here's an entry blank you can right click on, print out and mail in if you like the old fashioned way or you can go to Darin Short's link here and register on line: http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html
Either way, do it TODAY!

You know what they say...
If you wanna be a cowboy and you get thrown, then you need to 'cowboy up' and get back up on that horse ASAP!
Well....first this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIYqexAOgqQ
Happens right at the start of the SUPR feature at Devil's Bowl on August 28th so you won't have to watch it long. Turns out to be a good race though won by Lee Davis of Greenwood, Louisiana. Congrats Lee!
But back to Josh... Josh Danzy of Heflin, Louisiana who is going for Rookie-of-the-Year in SUPR Late Models this season...
He squeaked into that Devil's Bowl A-main by finishing 2nd in the B. 30 cars on hand. Then the flip. It was a little scary as he couldn't exit the car until the track workers liffted it up on one side so he could crawl out. Stuckey Enterprises fixed the car in time for the Childress Rentals #F5 Victory Circle Chassis to make the first SUPR race of three this past weekend on Friday -- 6 days later -- at USA Raceway in Sterlington, LA. Josh scored a 6th in the A-main there for his 2nd best SUPR finish to date. That's the way to get back in the saddle!
Danzy then finished up his weekend with finishes of 14th and 11th and ran every lap in all of the features at Greenville and Champion Park Speedways. You can tell, he's starting to "get it"!
Up next is the SUPR race THIS Saturday, September 11th at Lone Star Speedway at the "Patriot Day Tribute" in Kilgore in Texas -- the site of Josh's only top five SUPR finish to date. Ok boys, race hard but race smart because up next...
The US Dirt Track Nationals at The Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth for SUPR Late Models on September 18th. $3500 to win with 20th place worth $500!
And you know what else they say.... about Fort Worth? Sooner or later, an F5 tornado's going to hit....just a matter of when, not 'if'....

Entry is now $140 at the gate Late Models. Mods & Limiteds practice THIS THURSDAY with Late Models practicing on Friday. Looks like a warm, dry weekend. Warm days, comfortable nights! Highs around 90, lows around 72!
