NCRA Southern Modifieds Back to Enid Speedway Park Sunday Evening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – August 08, 2010 - Coming off their inaugural visit just three weeks ago and a very successful event, the O'Reilly/NCRA southern modified division will be competing at Enid Speedway Park in Enid, Oklahoma this coming Sunday evening as part of the "Salute to the Legends of Enid Speedway" night at the race track.

In the last event the series held at the Garfield County Fairgrounds dirt track, forty-one drivers took part in the first ever appearance for the southern modified division and it was Edmond, Oklahoma driver Todd Decker picking up the victory, his second for the 2010 race season.

The series is coming off a very successful "road trip" of sorts as they just completed their first ever appearance at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee this past Saturday night where it was hometown favorite Kyle Slader picking up the twenty lap feature victory.

Randy Timms of Wheatland has been the only other feature winner on the young season with his victory coming at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker back earlier this year.

Thus far this season, eleven drivers have competed in all four events that have been held and they are all expected to be on hand and resumed their battle for the 2010 season championship. Among those drivers are Dustin Buntin, Kevin Snow, Brandon Cross, Todd Decker, Robert Elliott, Kevin Dickson, Donnie McConnell, Landon Maddox, Randy Bohnstedt, Frank Graven and Chris Holt.

A host of track regulars and those who are expected to compete for the $500 to win feature finale include Randy Sallee, Mark Robinson, Timms, Dakota Moore, Vickie Cummings, Tommy Morgan, Terry Osborn, Ross McCartney and Hesston Shaw. Close to thirty-five drivers are expected for this very special Sunday evening event.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM with the grandstand gates at 5:00 PM. Hot laps will start at 5:00 PM with racing action set to begin right at 6:30 PM.

Adult general admission tickets are just $10 with kids ages 12 and under $5. For more race and ticket information, call Checkered Flag Promotions C.E.O. Ed Beckley (620) 225-3277

Everyone please attend this event if at all possible, we need to make sure the County takes us serious or we could end up like the State Fair Speedway. There are enuff parking lots in Oklahoma let's all do what we can to save racing in Enid please.
