sport mods- 11 feature winner-Sweiter Heat Winners Sweiter and Jorski

Notes- Had to be one of the best features of the night. Going into the night Sweiter and Steve Robinson had a point difference between them for the championship. Mark Norwood and Don Chesser started on the front for the feature. Norwood had a strong car as he jumped out to an early lead but it was called back for a Chris Taylor spin on the opening lap. On the Complete restart Norwood jumped back out the the early lead and held it for four laps until he retired to the pits.Which moved Sweiter to the lead. Jorski was right there with him. Back and forth these two battled for the lead for most of the feature. The top five were very close to each other. During the races you would have 3 wide racing. One moment that I thought the leaders were in trouble was when Chris Taylor got a little sideways right in front of them. However, both drivers split Taylor and went on. Jorski got the lead and looked to be in-store for another win as he had a strong car. Though on the last lap coming out of four his car hesitated and aloud Sweiter to catch up. On the last lap these two were side by side all around the track. When the leaders came out of four they touched and Jorski got a bit airborne and spun and Sweiter was trying to come out of a spin as he crossed the finish line. Jorski ended up 6th.

Champs- 15 top 5- K cobb,T Cobb, Danny Smith. Kerry McAlister, Either Dittman or Clevenger

Heat Winners- T Cobb, Swift,Merchant

Notes- I thought this might have been a better race than what it was. Had some OCRS regulars in the pits tonight. Quality of cars was very good. Merchant and Cummings started on the front for the feature. Merchant got out to an early lead. K Cobb went to the high side of the track at the beginning of the race and passed Merchant on lap 2 of the race. Cobb checked out after the pass. Cummings and Kyle Clark got together on lap 8 bringing the field back together. Once again on the restart K Cobb left the pack in the dust as he had the field covered on the night. Fred Mattox broke a rear end on the last lap. He was going to come home in 5th if that would not have happened.By the time the champs ran the track was very dusty. Jeremy Allen did not have his champ there tonight.

Mods- 14 Top 5-Goforth,Chad Davis,Day,Tillison, Wolfe

Heat Winners-Tillison and Chad Davis

Notes- Another good feature. Goodman and Goforth were on the front for the feature. Goodman got out to the early lead but Goforth passed him for the lead. It was for not as Day and Chapa got together to cause a yellow and a complete restart. On the restart Goforth got out to the lead. Goforth had a very strong car. There were times in the feature were the cars were 3 wide.Goforth led the entire race however Chad Davis was pushing very hard. Davis went to the high side on occasions and looked like he could make a pass for the lead but never could get by Goforth. Race had approx seven restarts has guys would spin out. One yellow that could have been bad was when Bailey and Goodman got together. As the drivers entered three it looked like the hooked up and went off toward the wall. Luckily, the car got stopped before the wall collected a couple of mods. They were running 3rd and 4th at that time.

E Sprint- 8 Top 5- Allen( in Taft's car), Dustyn Caudle, White, Stinson, Larry Sturgeon

Heat Winners- James( White was all over him during the heat) Allen

Notes-Sturgeon and Mike Huard were on the front for the feature. Sturgeon got out the the early lead however was not for long and he spun and collected both White and Allen in the spin. White actually drove over another car and continued on. Both Allen and Sturgeon continued as well. Complete restart and on this start Stinson got out the the early led until Brent Swift in a non-wing car passed him on lap two. Swift had the lead with Allen behind him until Swift had to goto the pits. After the it was all Allen as he had the field covered. He was pulling away from the other cars on the restarts and never really was threaten. It was night to see 8 cars in the feature and the racing was very close in the beginning.

Pro/ Street 11 Top 5 Goodnight, Holly Williams, Steve Clemmons, Bradley Mosby,Jeremy Allen (Welston)

Heat Winners-Wolfe and Goonight

Notes- Mosby and Jared Northrup started up front of the feature. Holly Williams got out to the early lead although Goodnight passed her on lap 3 for the lead. This is all it took as Goodnight checked out and never really challenged. The race was for second between Williams and Reed. Redd pulled off at lap 14. Race was pretty uneventful as their were few yellows and everyone said pretty much in a line. Wolfe did not make the A as there was a problem with his pro stock.

Mini Stock 5 Top 5- Burger,Powell,Jay Caraveau,Terry Stauffer

Heat Winner- Bruger on a last lap pass passed Stauffer

Notes- Caraveau was out early in the feature. He spun the car on the first lap in two and met head on with Stauffer. Stauffer pulled off early but Caraveau continued. This allowed Burger to take the lead. That is all he need as he had the field covered for another win,

Mini Sprint-5 Top 5 -Burks,Rodney Cobb,Lawson,Gilliam,Bret Adams

Heat Winner- lawson

Notes.- The cars are again having better racing. They are not spreading out as much. Burks and Lawson were on the front row. Burks got out early and never looked back. Cobb was catching Burks and was putting some pressure on in the late stages of the race.

My thoughts- Track was very dusty however it stayed very racy. I saw some of the best races tonight overall in a long time going out there. The track was taking rubber during the features as well. The crowds seem to be improving week in and week out. Also, more and more new cars are showing up out there.

I was wondering what you were going to think about it.
