I just came back from the track. I was helping Uncle gather some stuff up from there. It was very depressing. As I was walking up to help uncle. It felt as if the grandstands has no atmosphere to it anymore. It felt like someone had died.

The flagstand was being loaded up to go somewhere. It was going to a good home as it was being loaded up on a race tralier. Wood planks from the upper section of grandstand had been thrown all over the place.

It was so depressing.

My thoughts, exactly. I drove by Thursday for the final time, too depressing.

Drove past a dumping ground off of 15th and MacArthur and there were two large beams laying out there. Both were faded blue, looked like remnants of SFS? Is that it's final resting spot?

I can't look. Heartbreaking. Really disappointed that in a friendly, hospitable place like Oklahoma, something that brought so much enjoyment to so many for so long could be could be so utterly disregarded with absolutely no offering of an alternative.

Reading the title only I thought you were talking about the Oklahoma Sooner football opener.

How does Ol Miss coach Houston Nutt feel, huh ?? Or KU coach Turner Gill ??? Losing to mighty Jacksonville ST and N. Dakota ST ????

These "doormat teams" are proving they are either getting better or these 'high & mighty' teams with their sense of entitlement to an easy victory are finding out those 11 players on that sideline can play.too.
