I was curious if the Knoxville Nationals live on-line video is $19.95 and includes all three nights .... or $19.95 for each night??

I hope it one flat rate of $19.95 for all three nights. No one is going to pay $60 for this as that is way too high.

Aug 11 (Wed): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 1 | Purchase starting Aug 10: $19.50
Aug 12 (Thurs): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 2 | Purchase starting Aug 12: $19.50
Aug 13 (Fri): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 3 | Purchase starting Aug 13: $19.50

I'm guessing that it's 19.50 for each night. A steal considering...as long as the webcast is good and there aren't any problems.

Way too expensive!!!!!! What a rip off. I am usually very positive on here but this is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! You expect the fans to pay nearly $100 for the below six nights of racing??? No thank you.

Here is an idea. How about you charge $5 per night and you will get 10 times the people which brings in more money. Simple sales & marketing .... look at Wal-mart. Charge low prices at very low margins ... but you sell so much volume you make up for it.

Aug 5 (Thurs): Knoxville 360 Nationals – 360 Sprints Night 1 | Purchase Now Available: $12.75
Aug 6 (Fri): Knoxville 360 Nationals – 360 Sprints Night 2 | Purchase starting Aug 6: $12.75

Aug 8 (Sun): USAC Non-Wing Nationals – USAC Sprints + 305s | Purchase starting Aug 7: $12.75

Aug 11 (Wed): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 1 | Purchase starting Aug 10: $19.50
Aug 12 (Thurs): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 2 | Purchase starting Aug 12: $19.50
Aug 13 (Fri): 50th Knoxville Nationals – 410 Sprints Night 3 | Purchase starting Aug 13: $19.50

Oak - I understand your frustration, but be realistic. A person can watch the race live without even being there. No motel, gas to get there, food there, beer there, time off to go, etc. ect. I'm just saying, it's pretty damn cheap considering.

Not really. Most fans don't have $100 laying around for on-line video. I feel if you charge less money per night, you will pull in more people. I bet they have less than 50 people signed up for tonights race. Maybe someone will post the video link for Free.

Why is Knoxville Nationals higher price at $19.95 per night vs. the other nights at $12.95??? It can't cost more for production next weekend vs. this weekend.

That is why I like Eldora Speedway ..... Tony Stewart keeps his prices down .... $2 for a beer, $3 for a mixed drink, cheap food and tickets.

We couldn't make it to Knoxville this week so we are watching tonights races via TURN 2 MEDIA and it is definately worth the money. This is most awesome to see it live. We will be watching again. Great job and thanks to all that made it possible. You could have a few buddies over and split the cost to cheapin it up. Again great job
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

Fans that don't have the ability to attend (but more than able to buy a ticket) will certainly see the $100 as a bargain to see two of the most prestige sprint car races of the year live. It wouldn't suprise me if they had less than 50 tonight (although wouldn't suprise me if they had 100 either), but I don't think they would have any more if they offered the usual $10 price for the weekly show.

I think it is a steal to get the Knoxville Nationals live for $60; I wouldn't have any argument paying the same price as a ticket.... if my profession allowed me to travel this time of the year then I'd be on the backstretch next week!

Personally, I hope you are right and nobody else buys the live video. I certainly have concerns regarding the dreaded "SERVER OVERLOAD" disease that flies around this time of the year.

If you don't have 100 bucks why do you think anybody cares. You are not going to buy anything anyway. The race is not just to entertain you it is about making money. They need fans with money not broke ones

Oakland Sprint Fan...did you notice how Krysl56k said 'we' watched? Its cheaper than goin to the races by far...especially if you would be bringing your family. Why not make a family night out of it? or a party? Divide that up among many people and its not so pricey.

Its no different than renting a pay per view. If you have the smarts u can even watch it on the tv! if i didnt live in knoxville i would be buying it!

how cool is it that someone like Lynton Jeffrey can have his family Downunder watching him race live?

Or that guys like Wayne, Terry and even Travis have been watching from their hospital beds? The advantages of technology are amazing!

one final note...if you dont like it....sit at home and listen to it! thats still FREE!

Very well put.... good post for all those complaining about live TV coverage of the Nationals. It seems hard for some to believe, but those buying the PPV are not all doing so simply to sit on their butts, expecting something for nothing, and choosing not to support the nationals b/c they can't attend. Many simply do not have the ability to attend even if they desperately would love to be there and would love nothing more than to support the track and community with their hard earned dollars. Live coverage (audio and video) is only a good thing for the sport and the business.

I'm from Australia where a trip to the Knoxville Nationals is measured in thousands of dollars, I think it'll be an aussie overload for a measly 60 bucks of 3 nights of racing.

I bet it does cost more to broadcast the National's over the internet. Bandwidth is not free and I bet enough extra people sign up that they need much more than a weekly show.

Put it in perspective. I live in K'ville, and if I choose, I can watch at home for $19.50 or go to the track for $42.

IMO, it's still a pretty good deal, as I could buy it, have 20 people over to watch on the bigscreen and it breaks down to $1 per person, whereas it would cost $840 for those same 20 to be at the racetrack (tickets only).

Smart decision on Knoxville's part, especially if people within driving distance (daily) are subscibing. They might really like what they see on Wed, Thurs, or Friday and decide to drive to K'ville to be there for the atmosphere on Saturday night.

Plus, it's another revenue stream for the track and revenue is what pays for increased purses, facility upgrades, etc..

Yo' Al Davis, are you serious? There are so many analogies to use to explain what a great deal this is I would be wasting my time explaining them to you for fear you wouldn't understand. Buy the show and enjoy, it's all good. Take It Easy...

PS Bought a few times this year and have NEVER been disappointed with any part of the broadcast...

Great coverage, audio that tells you what is going on. Only thing I was a little disappointed about was lack of coverage / interviews from the pits. That was no big deal though. We have chosen what days to go, based on what we could afford. As others have said - if you only have so many entertainment dollars to go around - Best to watch the days you can afford at the track and when that $ is almost out buy the rest of the days PPV. Can't beat a family of 4 sitting in the AC, drinking pop in the family room watching live for $19.95. Hell parking at the track will be 25-50% of that during Nationals..
