Greg Rilat to Bring Son’s Car to SPRINTactular August 7th
Kennedale TX (8/5/10) by DarinShort.com. Greg Rilat is a veteran sprint car driver, and father of Travis Rilat. Travis was recently injured in Washington and is currently in a Seattle hospital. Greg will be taking Travis’ sprint car to the ShopTheBOSS.com Summer SPRINTacular at Cowtown Speedway on August 7th and it will be on display behind the grandstands.
Fans will be able to visit with Greg and offer their words of encouragement at this very difficult time for the family. Fans will also have the opportunity of purchasing Travis’ racing t-shirts for $15, which will help offset some of the expenses incurred from the injury.
The feature event at the Summer SPRINTacular is 29 laps, which is the long-time car number on Travis’ F&J Construction, Murray and Son’s, Shark Racing Engines, XXX Raceco, Ten Hagen, Hoosier Tire, Smiley’s Race Products sponsored Lucas Oil ASCS Dirt Sprint series car that will be on display.
In addition, ShopTheBOSS.com is the primary sponsor on the Sprint Bandit car of Travis Rilat (car number “50 off”). In light of Travis’ recent injury, ShopTheBOSS.com would like to offer race fans a way to help.
At the SPRINTacular, adult ticket prices are $15. During the two weeks following the event (through August 21), for each adult fan that turns in their Cowtown ticket stub from the August 7th event at ShopTheBOSS.com’s Irving Texas location, ShopTheBOSS.com will donate $15 to Travis’ recovery effort.
Those fans will also have the opportunity of signing a ‘Get Well Travis’ guestbook that will be sent to the family during his hospital stay. There is no store purchase necessary and there is no limit to the number of $15 donations ShopTheBOSS.com will make. The store is open normal business hours M-F and Saturday mornings.
