A 5-peat for the 15 for 50 laps for the 50th.
It comes up all 5s.

I don't know about upset, but I think the King is going to own the 50th. What would be an upset is if we had 3 drivers over 50 years old on the podium. Very possible. King, Sammy, Dude, Haud....that would be cool.

I think the place would come crashing down if Haud, Dave Blaney, or Sammy won! That would be awesome. Anyone but Schatz, Steve Kinser, or Lasoski will be fine with me.

And....50 "Dunkins" between now and next Saturday night and he is "over-weight" at the scales, gets a DQ (for the local Dairy Queen) and Sides is declared the winner!

It really comes down to four drivers; Joey, Kinser, Meyers and Donny.
I would put money down on Kinser as he has been bad fast the past month. However, I am pulling for a new winner like Joey or Meyers.

Oakland has the most rational, logical 4 guesses.
I love the idea of someone new. I think I'd rather see Sides win of the "haven't done it before" brigade due to I think the purse money, increased exposure and potential new sponsors would make the biggest difference in his program.
Sammy can't be counted out of the mix. Running a little extra at Knoxville lately... 360 Nationals... you get the feeling the team & driver want this one.
Sammy or a new guy & I'm happy.

Should be Saldana's year. Never count out the 15 or the 11. There hasn't been a real upset at Knoxville since 1990. The year Kraig won, he basically was running the King's equipment. The cream always rises at the Nationals.
(That said, if there were ever a year for an upset......)

If I were to pick somewhat of an upset I would have to go with Tatnell. He always seems to run well at Knoxville and even racked up an Outlaw win there earlier this year. Another surprise winner I can see is Jason Johnson. He has had a couple of strong showings at the Nationals in the past few years and has been bad fast all year.

As much as we'd all hate to live with the Posse chest thumping, I would love to see Stevie Smith win it. He's been too good for too long not to have won the race. With the exception of Kraig, the new winners of the last 15+ years (Schatz, Mark Kinser, Lasoski) all had their share of heartbreak before they won. Stevie has had his - second two years in a row and had the fastest car and the lead when there was a rain delay which gave Karl time to adjust. I'd also love to see Paul McMahan on the podium on Saturday night.

New winner this year. Joey will win the 50th! All his bad luck at the nationals will be forgotten this year. I hope lol. Anybody but Schatz, even Sammy!

Have you seen sides gutt? if Donny's holds a 12 pack of Dunkin's, Sides gutt holds 4-12 packs and then some. Kinser is not far behind!

I'm with you on Brooke, he knows his way around Knoxville.

Lets get off the "Donut"..."Overweight" crap. Not just about Donny...any driver! You can dislike any driver......but lets cut all the degrading remarks about someones appearance and just respect them as sprint car drivers and as human beings who have families that may read your remarks!

i'm sure donny laughs about this weight issue all the way to the bank...by the way, if you look now, he's in pretty good shape...well at least much better than it's been.

Hey i was right, not one of your usual suspects, but a tremendous victory by a well deserving team. I couldnt be happier as lernerville is my home track and its where Tim cut his teeth right here in western pa.
