What a great night, good weather in Northern Ohio this early was a bonus. Amazing car count of almost 60 410 sprints with great racing, and run in a timely manner, well done Attica.
Only one complaint, why when it is a major event like this for your track do you need to schedule a support division. Limited Late Models for a sprint show? I fully realize the schedule is set months in advance, however past history would lead you to believe that the crowd will be very large, traveling from all over, me over two hours one way, to see SPRINT CARS, not limited late models. Especially after hot lap, and qualify almost 60 410 sprints. Then to throw 25 late models on an already abused surface. If you really need those 25 late models to turn a profit last night it's time to try another profession, you had a great crowd.
One suggestion, next year treat the fans with only 410 sprints, no 305's. no late models, just sprints and set the filler time aside for a little track prep to truly showcase your outstanding race track. A little down time for people to sit and talk is not a disaster, it only builds suspense for the main event. Those other divisions are there almost every week as it is, just for once let us watch sprint cars.
The feature might have had a great groove on the top, but instead we got to watch a 5 car bmain for the limited lates that took twenty minutes because of a crash, when a little track work for the main event would have been time better spent for my $35 pit pass.
Great job overall, not trying to be to negative, just a real pet peave to let a support division further wear out a track that a few thousand people came to see the best in the sprint car business do battle on, and we got a very bottom groove, hug the tires track down in turn one, the top was totally shot or else Greg Wilson might have surprised everyone.
I'll still be back the next time, but I sure would like to see sprint cars and nothing else.

Last time I checked - 305's are sprint cars.
It was a good night and I wish Wilson would have had something for the Outlaws. He gave it one helluva effort, though.

Tommy i have the upmost respect for your post and the time you spent laying it out and also your view.Let's take a look at it from anouther angle.Be it Late models, streetstocks or 305's just to get to be on the same racing card as the king Steve Kinser is a big deal to a weekly racer.Just think about it for minute Joe LOCAL racer is on the phone rite now telling all his friends and buddy's how great Attica was and how he got to race in front of thousands of screaming fans. How do i know this?Well i was Joe racer many years ago .Thank you for your post
