I thought it would be kind of fun for everybody to pick the 24 cars that make the A and see who gets the closest. And the 24 cars in Saturdays 50th Annual Knoxville Nationals A-Main are (in no particular order):

1) 0 Jonathan Allard

2) 3 Kerry Madsen

3) 7 Craig Dollansky

4) 9 Joey Saldana

5) 14 Jason Meyers

6) 41 Jason Johnson

7) 47 Don Droud Jr

8) 51 Fred Rahmer

9) 57 Shane Stewart

10) 91 Paul Mcmahan

11) 2L Ed Lynch Jr

12) 5W Lucas Wolf

13) 7S Jason Sides

14) 1 Sammy Swindell

15) 2 Dale Blaney

16) 6 Danny Lasoski

17) 11 Steve Kinser

18) 15 Donny Schatz

19) 21 Brian Brown

20) 22 Greg Hodnett

21) 59 Brooke Tatnell

22) 30C Lance Dewease

23) 91X Dusty Zomer

24) R19 Jac Haudenschild

my 24 (in no particular order)

1 - Sammy

2 - Steve Kinser

3 - Saldana

4 - Lynch

5 - Brian Brown

6 - Mark Dobmeier

7 - Lance DeWease

8 - Jason Sides

9 - Schatz

10 - Bronson Maeschen

11 - Don Droud, Jr.

12 - Dale Blaney

13 - Dave Blaney

14 - Brad Sweet (surprise of the week)

15 - Paul McMahon

16 - Skip Jackson

17 - Jason Johnson

18 - Kerry Madsen

19 - Shane Stewart

20 - Tim Schaeffer

21 - Johnny Herrerra

22 - Lynton Jeffrey

23 - Stevie Smith

24 - Daryn Pittman

Missing the show - Dollanksy, Lasoski, Meyers, Rahmer, Haudenschild, Tony Bruce, Tyler Walker, Kraig Kinser, etc. etc..

No matter what, looks to me like there will be a "STACKED" b-main on Saturday Night and possibly even the "C" will be "STACKED" with talent.

Vande77, for once I agree with you on something!! Haha. My initial cut when going through the list had 35 making the "A". It will for sure be a stacked B and even the C with some of the guys having issues on their respective qualifying nights. Should be a great week and hopefully no rain!!

the scary part is, I think any name below can be interchanged with one fo the top 24 I listed (I could see Kinser and Lasoski swapped, same goes for Schatz and Meyers.

Competition is so close now, that messing up qualifying on Wednesday or Thursday will bury you (it's also one of hte reasons I put a guy like Broson Maeschen in the "A"wink.

Can't wait for Speedweek to get started, I predict Shane Stewart or Brian Brown to win the 360 Nat's, Levi Jones Sunday Night, Tyler Walker Monday, Levi Jones Tuesday, and all bets are off when Wednesday rolls around...

You might want to re think the two guys that have won it not making the show, plus several others you have on your list. I'd say you got 3 maybe 4 Knoxville cars that won't make the show.

I like how you are so quick to point out that somebody has a few guys who you feel aren't going to make the show yet you do not say exactly who they are or name the 24 cars you believe are going to make the main. So lets here it your 24 and see who was closer? This was post all in fun to see who got the closest to picking the 24 cars in main.

I think with the money that's on the line and it being the 50th, I pick Steve Kinser to win it, but would give anything for a first time winner.

possibly, but since qualifying is so important, I think that will be what helps them out the most (I don't think 6 K'ville regulars are out of the realm of possiblity).

Like I stated, I think you could interchange any of the names below for any on my list (just takes a little luck).

Fom a consistency standpoint at the Nationals, Lasoski should be on my list, but looking at his season this year, he hasn't been consistent.

Meyers' track record at the Nationals is hit and miss, compete for the win, or run the C

That's the best part about the Nationals, you never know who the surprises are going to be...

I would agree with Gambler ; Ian Madsen, Lynton Jeffrey, and Skip Jackson making the A Main at the Knoxville Nationals is going to be a stretch

It's so hard to this because every year the drivers that pick the #1 pill are going to make the A. And the drivers who pick the #100 pill are done for the week.

I'm not going to argue that getting a good draw for qualifying helps, but I wouldn't say you are done for the week if you have a bad draw. Let's use last year for an example. I am not going to use Wednesday qualifying results because of the heavy rain and not starting time trials until 11:30 the track was fast for everybody.

On Thursday out of 57 cars in the pits Dusty Zomer came out 55th and clocked in 13th quick, Jac came out 48th and clocked in 10th quick, and Jason Solwold came out 45th and qualified 11th quick. All three made Saturdays A main with Jac finishing 10th, Zomer 13th, and Solwold 21st. Now I bet if you asked all three of them they are glad they didn't load up the trailer and go home thinking they were done for the week once they saw what pill they drew.

Very well put... the pill draw certainly seems to have more importance early in the week rather than later in the week when the track is getting wide.

I have to agree. I think this is his year to really shine at the nationals! Starting his own team and being on fire all year! I think he will finally show that 360 drivers deserve more respect than they get! Would love to see a 1, 2 finish from Jason Johnson and Shane Stewart!
