Are you local to Texas City area? The big benefit is Saturday the 21st. You can get them there. I will have Travis' racing shirts and another race for recovery racing shirt in Beaumont and then at Battleground Friday and Saturday night. Go on Facebook-Travis Rilat- and you can order the other t-shirts from there also. Thank you for inquiring and hope to see you there!!!

Just talked with Dorothy, Travis' Mom, and he is going back to surgery today. They do not know exactly what procedure yet, depending upon the infection they have been battling in his legs. If the infection is cleared, then they will begin regrafting the legs, if not they will aggressively treat the infection by cleaning it away again. We are hoping that the infection is under control so that the grafting can continue and speed his recovery. This is just a little bump in his recovery. He is a "hard charger" and will pass this up an head on for the checkered flag of recovery.
His Mom says his face is healing nicely, and the scabs are almost all gone and he is looking good! His spirits are high and thanks everyone for the cards and emails. The baby is learning to crawl in Seattle and the family that is there are all well and happy with Travis' progress. It has been by the grace of God and your prayers that have made his progress. The family thanks each of you for your support.
Hope to meet you and thank you personally at the benefit or at the track this weekend! Thank you and God bless each of you!

Travis is out of surgery and it did not go the way we had hoped. Travis is fighting an infection that has set him back. The doctors had to remove all grafts to aggressively treat the infection. This is a big set back and a" start over" with his legs. This is just like a spin out and having him move to the back of the line up---and you know our "hard charger" Travis, he will be back up there before you know it. Your prayers and support have given him determination and a fighting spirit, and I know that together we will get him back in the race soon. Okay pit crew, let's support our racer and get him up front again, charging for that checkered flag of recovery.

Travis goes in for surgery again Thursday. Please keep him in your prayers. We are hoping that the infection is in check and they can begin the grafting process over again. Our "Hard Charger" needs a strong pit crew and our prayers. The Race for Recovery is on!!!!

Travis and all the awesome Rilat family, we want you to know that a mighty throng of prayer warriors is diligently up on the wheel from here in Missouri. "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Is 40:31 Psalm 91 is full of Victory for every breath and every step you take! We Lincolns' are excited about your charge to Victory lane in your healing! By Jesus stripes you're healed, by His Blood you're cleansed, by His Name you're empowered, and by His Word you're enabled to succede in EVERY endeavor!!! You're makin' a Butt-Load of passing points on the road to your recovery, Sir. And every minute that goes by puts you closer to Victory Lane. You've already lapped the Doctors expectations twice, so why not finish this triumphantly 5 laps ahead of the rest of the field? We're with you all the way through this and can't wait for the Victory lap!!!!!!!!! HOOAH!!!

I believe in the power of prayer and trust the Lord with all my heart, but my goodness it is awesome to know that Travis has so much support from others. Your prayers are powerful and our God is mighty! Thank you, and praise God!

Great night last night at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park! Travis was able to watch and listen to the race and all the activity online. This was the first time that Greg was out on the track racing since Travis' accident and it was special as he had a big "29" and Tweety on the wing of his car. The fans were awesome and their kindness and concern for Travis was overwhelming---it has been that way where ever we go and the family is most grateful for all their support. And to make the night even better the racing was awesome! Greg placed 5th behind 1st place Jason Johnson and 2nd Shannon Tankersley---and even held Gary Wright back till the last few laps and fell behind him in placing. A good night for the Rilat racing family---it was nice to have to Rilat boys racing together, even if one was on the internet while the other was on the track---Travis is usually on the track and Dad on the internet---won't be long before it will be that way again soon!

WOW!!! What more can I say?! The benefit was awesome, so many people showed up to support Travis and his family and then we ran to the track for some racing and the fans there were awesome! I am truly amazed and touched by the compassion and generosity of this race family. I have never experienced this out pouring of support. I can not express the gratitude and how proud I am to be apart of such an amazing group of people. Thank you, thank you!
Oh yeah---the racing at Batttleground was awesome! What a track. Travis started his racing there with the dwarf cars and had his first sprint race there. And Greg didn't do too bad last night either!

Taking on such a big task was exhausting but SO rewarding. I have never seen such community support and for that I just want to say thank you!!!! We had such great volunteers and everyone just smiled and did what was asked even though it was well over 100 degrees. On behalf of Travis and his family, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the unselfish love and support that you have shown over this last 4 weeks. Please continue to pray for healing and strength for Travis and his family!! I have gotten some emails asking where to donate if you were unable to come to the benefit.....you can go to http://www.teamtravis.bravehost.com/. Once again- Thank you for everything you have done!
Also all shirt orders can be made to [email protected]. I can mail to any where!!!

Praise God, that's good! Let's keep our elbows up on the prayer wheel and keep it on the edge!!! Travis is and inspiration to all who are going through ANYTHING right now. Physical, mental, Spiritual, or whatever else it might be. I'm sure our prayers are doing much more thatn we can conceive in the natural up there in Washington. But, oh how blessed we will be to know the impact Travis and the entire Rilat family is having on US! May God continue to shine His Glorious Light and Love on every Doctor Nurse, Technician, Family member and saint prayerfully keeping watch on our little Brother Travis in this victorious, healing hour. Psalm 62:1&2 HOOAH!!!
Victoriously, JJ

Travis goes in for surgery No. 8 Wednesday. They will working on this arms and they hope to do more grafting on his legs--this time with skin grafts from Travis. This young man is an incredibly determined and inspirational guy---the Race to Recovery is fueled by prayer and his sheer determination. He is driving, but he has God as a co pilot and a pit crew of family and friends helping him grab that checkered flag!!!

Travis' surgery went very well. They worked on his arms and were able to do more grafting on his legs. He is doing well. Of course you all knew he would---the power of prayer and the strength of family and friends are incredible. Our "Hard Charger" is driving hard and his determination and support from all of you will see him through to finish this race!
