He's running a race at a track that doesn't sanction a WoO race 24 hours before a WoO event.
Or will he get a "4 time champion/I drive for Tony Stewart who has two cars on tour" exemption?

If he has the OK from the WoO, my guess is that he'll be OK.

Daddy leases the track, so i am sure he will be fine and got the WOO blessing....If it was Dollansky, Haferpete, Kraig Kinser, Lutar, Wolfe, or any of them, they would get docked.....
Life's short, race hard!!!

before you guys blow a gasket, anybody can ask for permission to run at a non outlaw track. the woo says most reasonable requests would not be denied. i am not taking sides, just offering what i understand on the subject. speaking of sides, jason sides asked and was granted permission to race at marysville ca a year ago when there were rain outs in cali and the guys were just sitting a week waiting to race. so it is not like they made an exception for donny. you guys sound like a bunch of old ninnies.
to indy and beyond!!

Isn't the new rule that you can run at any track that sanctions an Outlaw race?

Stewart back in North Dakota to compete in sprint car
WEST FARGO, N.D. -- NASCAR star Tony Stewart made his return to North Dakota -- and failed to cross the finish line.
The two-time Sprint Cup champion was felled by a flat tire midway through the 35-lap All Star Circuit of Champions sprint feature Thursday at the Red River Valley Speedway. He was third in a late model race at the three-eighths-mile dirt track earlier this summer.
Speedway operations this summer are being handled by Danny Schatz. He is the father of Donny Schatz, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion and North Dakota native who drives for Stewart. Donny Schatz won the event.
Stewart said he came back to North Dakota because he had a chance to race a sprint car. He made an appearance at an event in Indiana earlier in the day, and planned to fly to Pennsylvania and the Pocono Speedway after the race.
Said Stewart, "This is not on the way to Pocono tonight for sure."

I said that 6 months ago. There's a reason he has stepped up from a 360 over the Winter in Australia and in select races this year. 50th Knoxville Nationals, being his own boss and the Knoxville Nationals being on his "bucket list", yeah, it's a "no brainer". I still think he will not only qualify for the "A" Main, but finish in the top 10.

Right now they are all kicked back in Danny's jet headed to Canada via Pocono and munching down a couple of dozen DUNKIN DONUTS!

You think he would run the 360 Nationals for a tune up as well. Don't see his name listed yet however. Cup races fall on Sundays next two weeks so it looks like he could if he wanted to.
Are the Nationals being live video broadcast at all this year, tv or internet? Looks like Speed might be taped delayed later in the month? http://www.speedtv.com/schedule/search/Knoxville

Too many buttholes on this board who have a hard one for Schatz. If anyone else had done this, asked the WoO if it was OK, there would be no discussiion here at all. Bunch of a-hole hypocrites. If you don't know what you are talking about, don't use your mothers computer to type here. And get out of that basement finally and get a life.

I can remember Danny Lasoski racing at Eagle on Saturday night and then at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls on Sunday afternoon back in the 1990s. Lasoski is a 3 time Huset's champion.

I think the rule only applies to races within 200 miles of a World of Outlaws race, if within 48 hours of that World of Outlaws race. Thus, while the race is only 24 hours before Ohsweken, RRVS is well over 200 miles from Ohsweken. The main reason for the rule is so that fans can't go to a nearby local event the night before and see all of the outlaw guys for 10 dollars and then not go to the outlaw race. I doubt any fans in the ohsweken area are going to be heading to North Dakota to see Schatz race.
