I haven't seen any PR or discussion on the boards and it's coming up quick so I though I would mention a few things about this year's events surrounding the Midget Nationals. First of all this is the 100th year anniversary of the track. This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, there will be a vintage meet / races on the High Banks. This year's class of inductees into the High Banks Hall of Fame and Museum (http://www.highbanks-museum.org/) will be inducted on Saturday starting at 12:00 at the Belleville High School in the cafeteria. This year's inductees are Billy Boat, Shane Carson, Ernie Derr, Joe Fontana, Gene Gennetten, Walt McWhorter, Carl Mishmach, Gene Pastor, Everett Saylor, & Jimmy Wilburn. The vintage races haven't happened since 2000 and who knows if or when they will happen again so you may want to make the trip to witness this event.
