Just an idea after reading a few threads about people fed up with fuel stops.
I say let a team run any tank they want, but when the red comes out for a fuel stop the teams that had the balls to bolt a bigger tank on and have enough fuel to go the distance they would move to the front in there running order, those thad add fuel return to the line up in there running position but much like indy or nascar join the field and have to claw there way back to the front. If they are gonna treat sprint car racing like nascar or indy then lets keep the rules according. Only question is would it be possible? I know it sounds like a good idea but not sure it would work out. Other thoughts are tires? some cant make 25 laps some features have been shortened because of the tires what will they do with that problem?

You think that sounds like a good idea. Say all but two fuel, I want to see how you line them up with out making anyone mad. That would be a big back row. 20 cars
I don' think the track is that wide

Is anyone ever happy with the rules? Its when rules revolve and change for certain people that people get a bit PO'D if it was known that that is the way it was gonna be nobody could be mad at anyone but themselves. Now i was just throwin the idea out there. I know it would take alot of fuel to run 50 laps on one tank and yeah i dont see anyone goin over a 35 gallon tank again but it would just make a more interesting race than to see big money and strategy win again from the front 3 rows. Still no mention on the tire situation if they will be able to change them or not? Seems to me people get awfully upset when they blow a left rear or right rear when leading

The bigger tank isn't going to help they'll still run out
I say u don't have a planned fuel stop at lap 25 but if there is caution or red between lap 20 and 30 have them stop and fuel up but if there isn't a caution or red by lap 30 then throw red for a fuel stop

It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the cars bolt new tires on at the halfway point. Anyone in the back half of the field is going to eat the penalty to have new rubber to abuse and once half the field does you know the rest will. If all but 2 guys put new rubber on the leader would still restart 3rd and have a huge advantage over the 2 guys who don't change tires.
Remember back in the day when it was legal to change tires under red and keep your spot? I remember most guys would start a race with the softest tire possible because they expected a red flag to happen in the first 3 laps. I also was told a story about a guy named Louie Dunkel (I think) who bought every soft tire the dealer had at Devils Bowl one night so nobody else could get one. Not sure if it was true or not but it sure is funny.
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

All the complaining about fuel stop, they really thing the most important race of the year will go 50 laps without anyone going over their head and causing a red. I don' think so
The same people think TW cost Meyers the national, didn't he get start up front and wasn't there another yellow anyway . And then they want double file restarts, That would of made things a lot better, right

that would be the way to go,
but the tires are going to be the biggest issue, the way they have been blowing them this year it is crazy
the other thing any red flag 1 crew member to the car to add fuel only. pf the tire becomes an issue at the red then they change and go to the back of the lead lap cars. i am sure cappy has a plan and it will work

whoever said we wanted sprint car racing treated like "NAPcar" or Indy? Sprint car racing is a beast unto it own! thank you very much! And just for the record, NASCAR has more rule changes than a baby has diaper changes!

I'm gettin old and crotchity,I guess...

For the miles back in the day they fabricated larger tanks that fit under the shell - and those shells are huge.

My thoughts on the tire issue: I'd run it like two 25 lap races. after about twenty laps id push it really hard and use up the tires. Then at the fuel stop, filler up and change tires. start at the back and work my way back to the front.
The first guy that blows a tire could be the winner. like the King's Royal, think it was, couple years ago.
it will be interesting to see how everyone plans for it. If 5 or 6 guys change tires during the fuel stop i think the rest will follow.

Can you change engines on this red? Drivers?
Since it's a fuel stop, does that mean you can go get a tenderloin and a pepsi while the boys dump more fuel in her? (A driver's got to stay fueled up)
Wonder if they've calculated how many slices of pizza they can sell during the intermission?

Silver Crown cars get better mileage because they make a lot less horsepower and aren't pushing a huge wing around.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com
