Ya it hasn't been updated since 2005. My apologies for that. I made the correction.
Like to have an up-to-date list. Kinser, Schatz, DeWease, Hodnett have more.

Makes sense to me, the Outlaws as a whole have always been overrated. Karl Kinser was the man to beat for 25 years, then Schatz for five. The rest of the gypsies have always been also rans. With Karl retired and Schatz sucking wind the truth finally comes to the surface... Posse win streak!!!
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

If the Outlaws put a turd on their hood...the Posse would too.

The Hodnett stat threw me off... and still does. It isn't "since 2005"; I'd guess it's "through 2005."
Anyway... thanks for the stats! I thought it was really interesting.
I used to love seeing the WoO programs with year by year feature winner totals... that stuff is really interesting.
Reading some of the comments posted on this thread... just because you travel coast to coast doesn't mean in itself you are better on every track you're at. The top 15 410 teams don't necessarily travel with the WoO. Besides... best at a fairgrounds oval in Knoxville, IA or a paperclip oddity in Mechanicsburg, PA means 1 type of track out of hundreds.
I think a national tour does the best job of determining who the best overall is. Not all the teams can, will or want to travel the ridiculous tour that is the WoO.
I think it's been brought up a fair amount of times... if 5-8 of the WoO teams ran the Grove every weekend or Knoxville every weekend... they would get beat 1 or 2 out of 20 times IMO at that same track.
The Posse has some mean teams, the WoO has some strong teams, the AllStars have a handful of teams that could win anywhere, California has some good teams... sprint racing is just GOOD STUFF!!!!!!! Enough about where they're from or what association or track they run at. It got old years ago.
On any given night... a LOT of teams could win at a LOT of tracks given the right circumstances. A team that sees the same track 20+ times a year... they SHOULD be better at judging track condition for the all-important time trials. A team that sees 80-100 different tracks a year SHOULD be the best at reading tracks.
That's what makes it fun.
DANG I wish I was headed to Knoxville!

Even if one was to give Bobby Allen's wins to the Posse (he was a traveller I'm guessing for most of them) the numbers still work out to be about 75% in the Outlaws favor which is close to the number of 80 that I was told many, many years ago. This is just at the Grove, if you were to factor in all the other PA tracks they used to run at it goes up much, much higher. This is not news to most but is shocking to the Posse cheerleaders, reality bites hard here. The last few years and few years only have the Posse really been that competitive and it was long after this debate started, lol. Take It Easy....
