Saturday July 31st 2010 Jackson Speedway inducts my driver, partner, friend, Matt Spies into the Jackson Speedway Hall of Fame. It would be great to see everyone who was a part of our team as a sponsor, crew member, or fan to come to this induction ceremony in the Anderson Building at the fairgrounds starting at 4:00 P.M. Team #9 plan to make this a night for Matt to remember or "forget" if you know what I mean. Might be a few Silver Bullets consumed after the races!!! Woop Woop!!!

With the Fair going on....
For those interested in Camping this weeekend. It will only be allowed in the go cart parking area, and they do race this Saturday - but you can pull into this area after they are done - which I think is usually about 3 or so. Cost is $15.

Congratulations to Matt Spies. I didn't get down there very often but I took a few photos of the #9 back in my film camera days. What stands out in my memory about Matt was that he won a lot and whenever he did he'd invite a bunch of kids to join him in Victory Lane. I always thought that was pretty cool.

I probably have a few photos of Matt from back in my film days. I didn't buy my first flash until 2003 and used to only take night photos at that time. They're all 4x6's and stored away in shoe boxes and aren't very high quality. I reduced the size on a few and doctored them up for posting on the web but if you're looking for prints I would defer to the pros down in your area. The quality would be much better than my pre 2004 photos when I updated my equipment.

I saw Joel Taylor is also being inducted.
Here is a shot I took of Joel at Knoxville for a rare wing show in 1979.

Also Matt Spies will be on the Air after me, Tommorrow Morning on KUQQ (102.1 Okoboji IA) at 8:45.
