With the wheel face down, lay a straight edge across the wheel.
With a tape measure, measure the distance from the bottom of the straight edge to
the mounting pad of the wheel hub. This is your offset.

For rear splined wheels, you need to add 2" to your measurement. A -5 off wheel will measure 3" to the inside edge of the splined hub (the "-5 off" refers to the center of the hub-the hub is 4" wide @ the splines).

to my knowledge if your ordering replacements or complete wheels Sanders wheels are measured differently when ordering (halfs ect) make sure the salesmen understands your measurement and have them measure it exactly as you (or he) interprets saves alot of grief on shipping and recieving the incorrect part (dimension ) you are looking for, to make matters better, keep the part# on the correct item (once you recieve it) so you dont have to do the measurement shuffel again someday.
