JD, was at Muskogee 2-3 weeks ago for the OCRS race and saw the Jeff's Performance Special go up in smoke during the heat race. That was the same night in which Jamie Passmore in his Wesmar powered sprinter won the A feature.
What was the diagnosis on the engine failure?
If you need any parts I'm sure I have the same parts, no scratch that, I have better parts than where your getting yours from!
P.S. Before you people get your panties in a wad, this is an ongoing joke between JD, Joe Wood, Sr. and myself. It's all good

Kelly, You are correct she went up in smoke and a cloud of dust, crack in #2 piston , Jr's pedal foot just a little to heavy on the BIG track for it , he put er to the test and well she failed that test BIG TIME!!!! , going to try and patch er up and finish out the season and as always lean on the $$$ end. LOL.
Just not been a good deal for Jr. here in the last month , ups and downs and more downs than ups, great thing about this racing deal, never a dull moment.
Still buy my lottery ticket and check it to see if I won every Wed. and Sat. and so far , struck out, but if ever I possess the winning ### then I will drive up to Bixby, America and we can go to Hooter's or Twin Peaks in Tulsa and I will buy you some grub and we can discuss how I can purchase one of those fast motors like the 4 car has but for now just have to keep chasin those Wesmar Power Plants.
The 4 car been on a roll here lately , seen where he picked up another win at OMS and even seen another win at Creek Sat. with the Frazier girl.

Not to highjack this thread but they have Twin Peaks in Tulsa? Gene Weaver (Amarillo NCRA modified driver) told me that place in Dallas puts the HOOTERS to shame.
Sounds like a road trip.

That's not a crazy idea. JD learned to squeeze a dollar until Washingtons eyeballs bulge, from his Mom. He's lived and breathed this thread of life since the day he was born. Count on it, dedication is no stranger to him.
Joe Jr. has "it". He is a bonafide gunslinger going into his prime.
Upwardly mobile backing would make them more than a factor.

I heard they had one in Tulsa David , I believe it is not far from Hooter's, tough to beat those Strips/Wings at Hooter's though.
bsman63/Brian , Thanks for the encouragement, but would need to bring $$$ to the table for a Wesmar.

thats why i was tryin to get WESMAR to sponsor you.......i figure if you get the engine fixed that will leave you money to come to Tulsa to try Twin peaks. and in return you can stop by Holleys BBQ on the way and bring me some brisket and sauce........its a win/win for everybody.

bsman63 , sounds like a hell of a deal and I'll even throw in an extra pint of sauce to be sure the brisket is soaked thoroughly in sauce and you can tell me the finer points of the inner workings of the OCRS and let me know inside scoop on when that rumor becomes reality that the Salina Highbanks is going to open back up and like ya said were all a bunch of winners then.
Thriller the world traveler he is probably knows all the hot spots for fine cuisine.

Kelly , they were KB Pistons and cracked in the Valve Relief area, had no idea that was the brand they were till several days ago, pretty scary thin on the top and Jr. tested them and they failed the test on the big track.
You bet anytime on the get together and bench race, Always like seeing the VIP of the House of Horsepower from Bixby, America. Need to find out how the Sport Mod deal is going , not heard much lately, guess you all been busy???

KB's huh? I had heard from someone that they recently changed the material for making the pistons and that people had been having problems with them. I wonder if that might have been a "new" style piston.
Raced the Sport Mod twice so far this year, most recently against the B-Mods at S. Coffeyville about a month ago. I haven't raced since due to the hot weather........lol. This fat boy only races when the high temperature is 80 or below during the day!! So she is sitting in the shop waiting for September. Probably going to try and sell it as well.

It just looks like they made them to thin on top Kelly, It is suppose to be the new style.
I hear ya on the heat , hard on us fat boys , sure is easier when it is 80 than frickin 95+.
I guess you not liking the Sport/B Mod or just looking to do something else??

Oh no I like the Sport Mod, got rained out a bunch at the beginning as you know. Like I said now it's too hot. Just like all the cars I built I built to have fun. If I feel like racing I do if I don't feel like racing I don't. You know with Knoxville coming up in a week and a half we have been swamped getting engines re-built. At the end of the day I'm whupped and don't feel like messin with anything............. especially a race car, lol.
Like I told my buddies when we get back we'll hit the racing pretty hard till the end of the year.

Completely understand what your saying , gotta pay the bills and make all those Wesmar customers happy when they head up to those Iowa cornfields to circle that famous 1/2 mile oval.
Probably be the same way with my deal, get back after it pretty soon and see what happens and cross my fingers for the remainder of the season.lol
You going up for the whole enchilada 360 Nats.,The Challenge and Osky and the Nationals?? , lotta racing and partying in those Iowa cornfields during that time , just like to have a nickel for all the malted beverages consumed during that time frame and then I could come up to your place and might be able to purchase a motor and even might have enough for a spare motor.
