Regardless of type of car. Just saw in Nat Speed Sport News on an advertisement page for Champion HiTech Race Lubricants that Shane Hmiel set the world speed record at 146.44mph, but it didn't say what track he did that at, other than the graphics over his #17 sprinter picture - Winner of the 2010 Hoosier Hundred. Was that in fact a half mile track where he did this speed, and, as he admits to being a mid-pack car on dirt tracks it was obviously asphalt. I know USAC used to run at Richmond which is a 3/4 mile track so maybe he ran that speed at Richmond. I know that Craig Dollansky ran 143mph for record at Eldora and when they put dirt/clay on Bristol, Swindel ran 139mph. Think the Napscar guys are around 129 at Bristol, maybe low 130s.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

And Iowa Speedway is not a half mile track. It's a 7/8's.
I'm guessing a winged supermodified at Winchester or Salem would hold the true 1/2 mile speed record... or maybe Randy Sweet in a glassed-up late model - back when he used to do that for grins?
