ol'e bud will be missed around the race tracks, he spent decades racin, was friend to multitudes of racers. i'm glad i was one of them...we will miss the generous kind sole , now that he has taken the checker flag and joins all the old racer's that have gone before him. lots of hot laps and bench racin are in store now !!!!!

Amen!
I can't believe I don't have a single photo of the #9 super from the 70's by itself. Of course I have lost boxes of photos over the years.
I can remember big Oren Haas driving it with the top of his helmet sticking out a good 6".
Anyone have photos of Mr. Bybee's cars feel free to post them or e-mail them to me and I will. [email protected]
Who else drove for Mr. Bybee???

Harold Leep Sr., Harold Leep Jr. , Mike Peters and Larry Allen are some that I know of. Harold Jr. told me some good stories when he drove for Art. Art fired Harold Jr. one night and left him at the track to get home on his own. Art was special. Art gave me a photo with Harold Sr. in the #9 super posing in front of the 81 Speedway sign at Wichita. I'm old school and don't have any idea on how to post this photo or e-mailing any photos.

I believe Ricky Jennings drove for him several times at SFS back in the 90's, I remember seeing him at Ks. Racers Auction in the winter at Wichita as well.
