I can't believe this hasn't been a big topic on this board. Does anyone know who the tracks or
sanctions are that are looking into the R&D of it?

Unhhh, let me see if I have this right. We tape a chunk o sh#t to the front of the wing. This reduces downforce. And with a harder tire, there's no advantage to mega horsepower, because that'll just make the wheels spin. Or, we could limit wing angle and require a harder tire and achieve the same result at NO cost (assuming no variation in tire cost by reason of the hardness).
I honestly do not know much about car setup, getting power to the left versus the right rear or anything else, but this seems like a COS to me!

The entire idea behind using this $10, removeable, reusable item is to negate the advantage of the $40,000 360 motors. That will hopefully bring back the cars who have dropped out of racing because they couldn't afford the high-dollar powerplants. And, if a team wants to run somewhere that doesn't allow it, it comes right off; it's that simple.
You can change it around and remove any amount of down pressure on the left rear, all the way to ZERO!! Theoretically, you could run 360's & 410's and 305's together. It would be all about set-up and driver prowess, not store-bought power. Getting more cars out on the tracks where the car counts are suffering is the idea.
And no, taking the wing adjusters off won't do it. Neither will limiting wing angle, and hard tires would be a part of the equation eventually. It is possible that a team could use a $5-10k mill and the same right rear would last more than 1 night. OH MY GOD!!!! It's the end of life as we know it!!!!!!!!!!!
COST SAVINGS AND COMPETITION EQUALIZATION!! Pretty simple concept, really.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

"It would be all about set-up and driver prowess, not store-bought power."
So what about the teams that use home-built (or cheap) power and great setup/driver now and are already winning races? This "device" will essentially take away any advantage earned by these teams.

How so? By asking a legitimate question? I'm honestly curious as to how this will "equalize" the competition w/o taking away any of the advantages teams have earned in figuring out how to correctly setup their cars.

LMAO... So let me get this straight: a $10 piece of plastic that DUCT TAPES to the wing is going to solve all the problems in winged sprint car racing.
Is it REALLY that bad folks?

Ok... call me a fish... I'll bite.
So, we're going to leave the wings as they are. Same rules. Same configuration. We're going to duct tape a $10 piece on it that will change racing as we know it?
How many races have been won and lost due to mufflers falling off... that were attached pretty soundly?
For a better idea... how about the wing manufacturers building a spec wing that ASCS adopts as the standard for 360 using technology that our $10 part imports. When they do it... the others follow it or run their own rules & pay the price.
I hate being Mr. Skeptic... but $10 parts that are duct taped to a car... there has to be a better way.

Or just take the wings off the cars and save not only the 10 bucks for the chunk of s@$# but 1200 bucks worth of top wing, nose wing, hydraulic rams and titanium wing trees...
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

And sort through the bodies of those who race them.
Face it: the wing might not produce better racing, but it produces safer racing.

Heck, I'll do one better - turn the wings upside down and let's run em with LIFT just like an airplane. That should really unhook 'em and solve all these >>supposed<< problems with winged racing.

Too simple. You actually race and pay the bills. Do you think anyone will pay attention to what you have to say? :-)

Hi there folks. My name is Vince and you may know me from the Shamwow commercials on TV. Well, we have decided to market the COS Adapter after having done many trials to see just how well it works. Attached is a video showing the COS Adapter in action. Now, it didn't work quite as advertised but we did find many race uses for it, and a few at home uses too! It's that great of a product! Really!
Here's the You Tube video description:
New COS Adapter for winged sprint cars is a multi functional device. Originally is was made to be applied to the top front of any wing that will take downforce away from the car, taking drive away from the left rear tire, equalizing the competition. But we quickly learned that this was impossible since the duct tape wouldn't hold and even if it did, this shit wouldn't work anyway and only fools would buy into this crap! But we did learn it could be of use in other ways!
Here it is in action as #26 Izzy Nuutz flips his winged sprinter but the COS Adapter is able to force the flipping beast to do a 180 and land on it's wheels! Amazing, isn't it?
Hi Folks, I'm Vince for Shamwow! I mean for COS Adapter. This adapter even has at-home uses, such as scraping ice off of your windshield on cold winter morning. It can even chop onions! It's just THAT amazing!
Thanks and if you're ready to order one of these miracle items, message or email me.
