The "ALL STARS" will be lucky to get 6 drivers who follow the tour for points, the balance will be locals, drifters and travelers from nearby OH &

The problem I see this weekend is...the OVSCA is running their 410 shows at Skyline on Friday and then 30 miles away from WVMS at Tyler County on Saturday. On top of that, there is a 410 sprint show at Pittsburgh to the East. FAST will be running at Attica and Fremont, but I don't think many (if any at all) of the FAST Series cars would have traveled down to WVMS anyway. There isn't a whole lot of support down that way for 410 sprints that I'm aware of. If KC is running a Saturday night show for 410 sprints, none of them will leave the porch either.

Haulmark All Star Sprint Results – West Virginia Motor Speedway – Sat.
7/10/04 By Scott Hall
MINERAL WELLS, WV – Dean Jacobs captured his first win of the season
Saturday night at West Virginia Motor Speedway as the Haulmark All Star
sprints returned to 5/8 mile oval for the first time in 14 years.
Jacobs,
aboard his own No. 27 Maxim with Ott power, took the lead on lap 10 from
early leader Brock Mayes and fought off Chad Kemenah at the finish. His
winning team is supported by Attica Raceway Park, Pike Supply, Waverly
Quick
Lube and Pullins Motorsports. After rain and fog delays, the checkered
flag
fell on the event at 4:12 a.m.
Mayes and Jon Agan made up the front row for the start, followed by
Danny
Smith and Jeremy Campbell. Mayes led the first three laps with Agan and
Campbell following until Agan got sideways in turn two and collected
Campbell, bringing out the first caution. This put Smith into second for
the
restart. Mayes led until he jumped the cushion on lap seven, allowing
Smith
to get by. But Smith’s pass was nullified by a caution for Craig
McGuire’s
stalled machine. McGuire had been running eighth.
Mayes bolted out to another big lead, followed by Smith, ninth starter
Dean Jacobs and Kemenah. Jacobs got around Smith for second on lap nine,
and
put a turn one slide job on Mayes for the lead on lap 10. Then Smith and
Kemenah followed Jacobs past Mayes before the action was slowed again
when
Jon Agan flipped on lap 14.
Jacobs led for the restart, with Kemenah applying pressure to Smith for
second. Kemenah ducked under Smith for second a lap later. Kemenah could
not
catch Jacobs until the leaders got into lapped traffic. Kemenah pulled
right
up to Jacobs with three laps to go. Kemenah was poised to make a pass,
but
the lapped car of Andy McKisson got in the way, allowing Jacobs to bolt
ahead again and seal the win.
Smith was third at the end ahead of Greg Wilson, Rob Chaney and Mayes.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Rob Chaney, the B&B Products heat
went to
Butch Schroeder, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Bill Rose
and
Jimmy Stinson won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main. Kemenah
was
the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier with a new track record of 16.676
seconds and captured the Haulmark Dash. Ryan Coniam took a hard flip in
the
third heat, but he emerged uninjured. A late afternoon rain shower
delayed
the start of the program by almost five hours.

Sounds like a race worth seeing and should be the winner against these other low paying so callled shows. Mr. Webb puts up the bigger paying shows to reward the drivers and should be the winner in this deal!
JAMES( I have changed my ways also , if I type real slow things go better and that B isn't so far fetched!

Would you please provide me a list of these shows? Just curious.

p.s. Anyone have a "contact" at the track? Should have car numbers by this time.

How can a track justify paying the sanction fee for the All Stars when they can't even provide a full field of cars for an event.
It's the same for the All Star late model series. Last night they only had 15 late models at Mercer Raceway.

James, by your statement I will "assume" you spoke with every fan at the race?
I was happy to see a "Cali Boy" drop in and get the big money.
Next time you have a "one to one" with Mr. Webb please tell him those of us "out here" said thanks!

Sprint50, Craig McGuire stopped racing at end of 2004 season. I bought his trailer in the fall of 2004, he had already sold off the rest of his equipment when we picked up the trailer.

Craig has been helping me this year at the track. I helped him before he quit, and then I started driving 7-8 years ago. He likes being able to go when he can, but is glad to not have the headaches of owning a car anymore. The conversations sure are funny when the shoe is on the other foot!

Thanks flyingryan and Adam. I had wondered what happened to him as everytime I had seen him run at KC he went pretty good. Is Craig related to Wayne McGuire?
