10 Champs- Kyle Cobb won with running the top of the track.

5 mini stocks- Brandon James

14 emods- Joey Buntin won, good race alot of passing up front

6 e sprints- Cody Brewer for the 2nd week in a row. You can see his midget experiance in this car. Get more cars and keep the rules the way they are and this will be a fun class to watch.

14 mods Jay Sale, Dusty Butin gave the crowd a little excitment as he had a slight oil fire at the end of the race

12 pros- Billy Goodnight Jr I would have to say one of the best features of the night, Could have thrown a blaket over the top 6 at one point in the feature

6 mini sprints -James Gilliam, Skylar Hale looked he was going to win till I thing his tranny went out

Crowd was excellent, alot of people stayed thoughout the night even with the light shower that was going on. Mark pushed the program along to get it in. No intermisson went right from the heats to the features. Track stayed racy all night.

Another 30 minutes & some of the features & probably fireworks would have been rained out.

Good job Mark, Eric and all the crew. It was a good show & real good fireworks afterwards.

Mark Brill is turning Meeker around and has come a long ways since he bought the place 4 or 5 yrs. ago , you can see it in the facilities and the larger crowds and track was in good shape and really had a good show last Fri. night. It is definately not the same ol Meeker from the 80's/90's, what was even more impressive that he did not charge anymore to get in with the fireworks.

If he really wants to turn Meeker around , he will do away with 4 car heat races. 16 sixteen cars in a class and 4 heats. Thats not turning it around. Thats crap !!!

I think State Fair Speedway closing has alot to do with change at Brills? I've only been out there twice this year and I didn't notice much change and I definitely didn't enjoy the dust and the 4 or 5 car heat races.

Jenn did you ever go to the track back when it was Lincoln county speedway or county line speedway?

If you had then you would understand what JD meant. Brill has turned the place around from where it was when it was called by those two names.

damn i hate the dust,i hate this,i hate that, bitch and moan...

its a dirt track, its gonna be dusty, its gonna be muddy, thats part of dirt track racing..

Brill has done a whole lot with the place, i love racing there, love going to watch there... and honestly to everybody that wants to complain about how they think this or that is stupid or waste of time, you could have bought the track when it was for sale and become a promoter your self...instead of complaining about everything try saying thanks Mark Brill for buying the track and working hard to make improvements and giving us racers/race fans somewhere to go

Erich/Glen, Glad you see what I meant, yep folks way back when, When Meeker was a SHITHOLE , A DUMP , hell they had wasp nests in the pit shack back in the early 90's a freakin hotel of em, you did'nt know if you was going to pay your $20 and get stung as a bonus for showin up at the place , plus the fabulous bathrooms with the floor that ya wondered if it was going to collapse before you got to take a whiz

Is it perfect NO, the track still could use some work but it is a dam long ways from where it has been and was facility wise it is a whole lot better than it ever was.

Amazing if that is all you can find to bitch about is dust and 4 car heats then it is better, you show me who has big car counts of 20 or more these days on a weekly basis in this area , very few tracks do if any and show me a track that does not get dusty in this area, they all do.

Mark is making strides , if you can't tell it , then you were not at Meeker back in the 80's / 90's.

Folks it is a dirt facility that is doing pretty good with its show,is it perfect , no it is not, but from where it was when he bought it , ran there first night after Mark bought the place back in 06 and had 27 ppl. in the grandstand including lawn chair sitters (we counted them and wondered how he was going to make it) and food served was minimal and avg. at best , now he is getting a great crowd and his lawn chair sitters are running out of room to sit, he is going to have to find a way to make his grandstand area bigger where folks can sit in their lawn chairs and still be able to watch the races, good problem to have in my opinion and new bathrooms and concessions that serve pretty tasty Nachos , Hot Dogs, Burgers and Ice Tea and now sno cones, I give the guy an atta boy for trying to make the place better and improving it.

Will said JD.... I can remember when it still had a guard rail around it. Someone would get into it and it would knock the pole or poles holding it completely out of the ground. You'd have numerous delays while they had to put it back together. Marks' done a great job in making improvements to the track. I've been to five different tracks this year and carried dust home from all of them. Probably why they call it dirt track racing.

Hea JD come to find out they were serving root beer floats on the pit side last Friday.

At the beginning of the year Mark put a transponder system in for the track to use. I do not know if they are using it or not. But, that tells me that a promoter wants his track to be a success.

My point is if you have 16 cars in a class, you shouldn't have 4 heat races with 4 cars. Yes that is my opinon and it doesn't have to match yours.

Ted,

Let me ask you a question. Yes, I do understand what you are saying in that a 2 8 car heat would be more exciting as far as fan stand point. However, most tracks in heat races are slimy to slick. The odds of you loosing 2 to 3 cars for the night in the heats are high.

So would you rather see a 2 8 car heat or a full field feature?

Your correct on that it does not have to match mine, it is what makes this world a dam interesting place to live in, everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone does have one. But remember you answered my opinion with one of your own , I stated mine that I thought the place was getting turned around with upgrading the facilities and having a bigger crowd etc. and you stated that it won't get turned around with with 4 car heats and 4 heats with a 16 car class.

Obviously that does not make you a happy camper and I can see what your saying, to bad the guy does not have 32 cars and could have 4 heats of 8 cars each, but he does not and that sure gives you the right to state your opinion. But again I just stated mine as well.

I got a question to ask you Mr. Sanderson and give us your opinion as your are entitled to, who does it right in this state, What track promotes and runs their show the best to suit the fan and who has the perfect track?.

Lawton, Enid (When it starts up again),Clinton, South Coffeyville, Creek Co. West Siloam Springs, Outlaw, Thunderbird, Ft. Smith, BMS, LCS (When it starts up again), OSP in Ada, Elk City. Just like to hear your opinion on who does it the best and the right way.

on the 4-5 car heats i think it was brought up while back ago, but most tracks average about 15 cars each class, everybody goes to feature, so like stated more likely to have torn up cars with 2 heats, less cars for feature, also helps the track point battle, 3 heats, put top 3 in separate heats, can make for a tighter points battle, usually means more exciting racing, got top 3 within 10 points of each other, all three win heats, that feature gonna be fun to watch!

and as a driver if I know I'm in the feature I'm pretty conservative (or try to be) in the heat cus we don't get trophies for the heat wins...if its alot of cars heat means alot more...

And I remember those wasps from the 90's, I never used bathroom till I think Brill got the track lol...

And they do have some awesome chili cheese nachos! JMO

I didn't bad him because of car count, theres nothing wrong with 16 cars in a class. It was cars per heat, to me 4 car heats is dumb, I don't know how else to say it. I'm excited about the E sprints. I think if they can get 12 to 15 that will be a great class, but not if they have 4 cars per heat. To me that's not how racing is to be done. As for your question, I don't think I can answer that, all i know is when I go to other tracks and most have more than 4 cars per heat I enjoy them a lot more. I have not been to anybodys weekly show this year, just specials. Like I said my main complaint was 4 car heats.
