There is an outside chance I might be coming to Brainard for the Outlaw races on Saturday night. What highway is the track on and how would I get there from I-94? Never been to Brainard before..........Thanks.

Thanks dr7. trying to get one of my sons to come down with me. We could drive back to Fargo and go home on Sunday. 6-6 1/2 hour drive one way might keep me at home and listen to Johnny.

2 years ago when they were first there they put on a good show. Unfortunatley, not many people saw it. It was about 40 degrees with a threat of rain/snow. That's October in Minnesota for you. Now with it being on the 4th weekend, and the Show and Go at B.I.R I would guess there will be a lot of people there. I don't think it was advertised very well last time. I have been hearing ads on the radio this week. Now if the rain will stay away. I'm ready to go. Brainerd this Saturday, Cedar Lake next Sunday. Oh Yeah!

My future son in law is going camping there with his whole family. He didn't know they were racing there this Saturday. Daughter is not happy. Most of the guys are going racing Saturday then next weekend in Wisconsin. Too far to drive from Winnipeg for a one day show. I did think also of going to Husets but you never know whats going to show there and the number of cars. The track this year, from what I hear has been horrible. Can't take the gamble. Its a seven hour drive one way.

I agree. That is a long way to go for a one night show. With the way the weather has been here lately, you might want to talk yourself out of it.

Here's a weather link for you. Never been to Brainerd myself, but a buddy and I plan on checking it out this Saturday. Mapquest says its 360 miles from Winnipeg. Should be able to make it there in 5-5 1/2 hours.

If it's only deer on 371 that's a good night. A few years ago I d*mn near hit a black bear down by Camp Ripley.
