Trophy Cup Offers Record Reward by Ron Rodda
When the 17th annual version of the biggest winged 360 sprint race on the West Coast is held at Tulare's Thunderbowl Raceway on October 22nd and 23rd, a record is guaranteed to be established. The largest payout to the Trophy Cup champion in the event's history has been established. The driver that accumulates the most points over the two nights of action is guaranteed to collect $20,000 as the 2010 Cup champion.
Thanks to the support of Southwest Contractors, located in Bakersfield CA, this record payout has been made possible. The event will now be known as the Southwest Contractors 17th Annual Trophy Cup. A superb field of 72 drivers have entered with six states and Canada represented.

Its to bad this event has to have a limit to the number of entries. You would think things could be worked out with the city for this one event to work around the curfew. More entries means more teams staying in hotels, more people eating in restaurant's, just more money in general to the local economy.
