Is this the "same Simpson" who said at the GOLD CUP in 2008 he would have Destiney Hays full-time in 09 for WoO ROY???

Just wondering.

Do they REALLY think this is the time to try to get essentially weekend racers to travel more? It'll be interesting to see what kind of incentives they can out in place to make that happen?

Maybe its time for NARC to make a comeback and let GSC die off altogether.

This is very good for the winged 410 drivers out here. TV coverage, live internet feeds and larger purse. Word is $5,000 for win at each regular race.

Oh yeah, dont worry about Simpson's resources... I watched his private jet take off after the races at Hanford and I was at Placerville when he flew up to the airport in his Helicopter a few years before...LOL. He also has his own racetrack on his property just for personal use. He's legit through and through in my opinion.

Your not understanding the magnitude of this deal. 26 full time contracted racers, guaranteed travel money and I have heard $5,000 to win $500 to start purses with big series sponsor(s) covering the increase so the tracks dont have to assume the increased costs. Again this is all rumor but considering the sources I have spoke with this is happening. The word is a TV deal is already in the works that will dwarf WoO's coverage. This is very, very good for west coast winged 410's.

Like all of you I will wait.

Sounds too good to be true!

Like Destiney running a full WoO schedule! Wink

Is she even racing anymore?

Sounds awesome to me... It might help keep some of the young talent out west for a change I'm just hoping he's not piloting one of the 25 cars. wink

I second that ricci. His daughter might also want to think about the business side a little more. JMO. Lap cars to the back for all restarts would also be a nice change..
