The 39 is too good of equipment to ride around the back, Esh is too good a driver to do the same. It wasn't working for whatever reason so I don't think anyone will be too shocked, and even at 60, there are A LOT of people in PA that will be happy to see Kauffman back in a car. It's also been reported that Esh will be in the Pancho's 93 for speedweek.

Keith Kauffman will make his return to the speedway beginning tomorrow night at Williams Grove Speedway.
The Man From Mifflintown will be the new driver of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports #39 sprinter and the team will compete at the Grove and hit as many PA Speedweek shows as Kauffman can attend.
According to car owner John Trone, "We will sit down and evaluate things after Speedweek and see if Keith is still interested in being in the car for the rest of the season."
Trone's driver Doug Esh left the team again to pilot a car owned by Pancho Lawler.

I think this may similar to the 17 team, the driver isn't the problem. Good luck to all teams involved.

It's interesting how some moves end up working better for all involved. 17/27 swap comes to mind.
Hopefully both drivers and their new respective teams come out better than before.
Chemistry, familiarity with equipment, equipment matching up better to driver style, setups relating to driver better... a million possibilities.
It's not the fear of the unknown... it's the prospect of brighter tomorrows.

Based on the 39 car's performance at the Summer Nationals I'd say Esh made the right move...
