I was reading the press release put out by the sprint bandits in regards to the Aug races. In the press release it has the the Creek County date replaced by Outlaw. I thought this might be a typo so I went to the webpage of the sprint bandits and sure enough it has the same thing there.
According to the Creek website the sprint bandits are suppose to be there. I have sent a message to Lonnie Wheatley to varify this.

Sprint Bandits "Have" moved their 8/19 date to Outlaw Motor Speedway. Also, all the remaining dates for the ASCS "Sooner" region for Creek County have been changed also.
The 7/31 date is now at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Mo. The October date for CCS is now moved to Outlaw Motor Speedway and the new date is 9/24 which is a "NATIONAL" race with the "Sooner Region"

Minor correction: The ASCS "National" date at Outlaw Motor Speedway for 9/24 was booked when it was moved from its original 6/4 date. The 10/2 date that Creek County Speedway had for an ASCS "Sooner" date has been canceled altogether. If rescheduled, ASCS will make that announcement then.

I'd like to see the sprint Bandits back @ CCS.
Not that they won't be good at Outlaw, but they were great @ CCS

What??? Why are the ASCS series moving away from CCS? I know the turn out for the Spring Sooner Region race was pathetic. However, the Sprint Bandit race drew a great crowd. And the racing was AWESOME.
I guess that I will have my first trip to Outlaw in August. What size track is Outlaw? Is it good and racy for the non wing sprints?

Bud,
It is a high banked 3/8's kinda reminds me of Clinton. I know the OCRS can get around that track at a good clip/

ASCS vs CCS. I think it has something to do with the promoter Bud. I'll leave it at that cause it's just speculation on my part.

Obviously you don't stray to far from your computer and do not attend to many races. You could place Wild West Speedway inside the infield of Outlaw Motor Speedway and still have room for a go kart track on one end. Kinda like a 1/4 mile to a BIG 3/8. Get out of the house more often and support your local race tracks so that you know what you are talking about. Jeesss !

Well excuse me for posting. Yes, I do get out to race tracks. In fact there are many on this board that have seen me at a race track more times that what your think. Dude I do not even know who you are. I can not say if I have been to more races than you. However, with a smart a** comment like that I bet I have.
I can see that this is your first post and what a good way to start out. Calling someone out.You have not even included your name or what not. Your winning the hearts of many already.
What I meant is by saying that is looks like Clinton and how the track is shaped and done I did not say it was exactly was like Clinton. I used the word KINDA. Someone will know with the word kinda there are going to be some differences. Sorry to your high mightiness I did not include specifics. If Bud asked for specifics then I could have put it in there . Just so I can clarify and get the approval from I guess what is our new board mod. Is it correct that the OCRS was getting around the track at a good clip?
Yes, I know there might be some specifics that I did not include and my post was not to your standards. There are many on this board that respect my actions I did couple of months ago to try to save the Fairgrounds and some that wish I would fall off the face of the Earth. When you have gone to has many tracks as I have been to they all start kinda running together.

Ya think? Sounds like an interesting story to change the schedule in the middle of the year. And it is (or was) a "homer" track.
As for Outlaw, it is a very nice facility. The track is very "regular" and doesn't look to be very challenging. Not to say they couldn't have great races, but.. IMHO. The last time I went was a couple of bankruptcies ago but unless they have changed it, the stands don't have enough pitch and/or the front wall is too tall. You can only see the top or wing of the cars, not the whole car.

Yeah, I have been to both as well and I don't think Outlaw is any bigger. I can see some similarities between the 2.
Can I change my name to ModifiedFanRob?
