Roughly about 3 months ago, I made a post on here about trying to decide between SC&M and Flatout. Flatout magazine contacted me and they wanted my address so I let them have it. They said they would send me a free issue of their magazine just to see how I liked it. It is now the end of June. I still have not received anything from the magazine. I just don't understand why somebody would go out of their way to tell me they would send me a free issue and then never send me one. It's like showing a kid ice cream and asking if they want some and then putting the ice cream back in the freezer. It's just not cool. I don't understand why any company would do that. I now have a negative feeling toward the magazine instead of having a great feeling about them for reaching out to me and offering it. I am not impressed at all with Flatout.
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

I receive both Flatout and SC&M. I don't think Flatout has nearly the budget of Sprint Car and
Midget but it still does a great job giving me the information I like. It takes a lot to put together a
magazine even if it is every other month.

get both, never enuff! trouble is , the sprint car world is difficult to cover a huge amount of material without the reruns,JMO, I honestly like the grassroots news and info, Im not that interested in the glam and details of high budget teams? ya, so what ... Only drawback to Flattout is, its only Bimonthly , but, Im still excited to see a new issue of either in the mailbox, some months I just get more material..

I get both but like Flat Out better. They have more driver stories. I am speaking of drivers that currently race. SC&M seems to focus on the old time stuff (60's & 70's) and covering races that are 3 months old. Both are great mags and I recommend getting both.

They have an "800" number on their website. Why don't you simply give them a call and explain the situation. In my experience, Three Wide Media has always seemed to be willing to satisfy their customers.

I will not be renewing SC&M. To me the articles and columns seem geared towards the nostalgia that all the old timers like. That's fine but I want more current news, info, and articles.
Just started a sub to Flat Out, so far looks pretty good to me.

I love Flat Out! I just wish it was monthly instead of Bi-monthly. Flat Out has better reading in my opinion, SC&M seems to be more glossy photos & advertisement but I still like them both! If I had to choose one over the other I would choose Flat Out but it would suck waiting 2 mos. for the next one to come.

As I posted in your original thread asking which was best, both are great magazines. Flat Out has my stuff from time to time, so that gives it a definite edge.
However they contacted you, use that avenue to get ahold of them. It's quite possible that it just fell through the cracks somehow. Give them a decent chance.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

I am not impressed at all with Flatout.
Call your congressman. It's W's fault!
In the mean time, go to a race this weekend and you will forget all about it!
Don't be picky either. Top or topless....you should see a good show. Heck, might even be a local mod race you can take in.
TSA...It's not a GROPE...it's a Freedom Pat!

I do not like flatout as much as sprint and midget. My flatout runs out next feb. I am going to let it expire.

Hey...
Krysl56K - I understand why you are upset and I was the one who offered you a free copy of FlatOut Magazine. I figured you would enjoy it and maybe even subscribe. I never recalled getting an e-mail back from you and cannot find one in my records. Please contact me via phone at 651-262-4297 or [email protected] and I'll get you a copy of the magazine for free. If you are a fan of our sport, I believe there's something you'll enjoy in every issue - maybe not every story or every page but certainly something in each issue.
Thanks to everyone for all the kind words about the magazine!
All good things,
Justin Zoch
