His Mopars are built by Rick Long's Speedway Engine Developement Inc., the best in sprint car racing today.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

And this is based upon what? Fact (proven) or opinion?

Yates would be the only close second right now.

The best is definitely debatable, good I'm sure though. If your not making 900hp these days, you aren't making it with the WoO, they're not the only ones doing it. I really think the hp wars should slow down a bit though, the 358s in PA are approaching the 410 lap times, the new tire is working, regardless of who makes it. Same problem as always though, they'll try to invent a new rule that stops rich owners from spending money. Someday, they'll realize they can't... Racing will always be who's got the most, but there will always be talent that finds a way to win and that's what we go to see....

Yates is a close 2nd???????? When was the last time a Yates motor won a WoO, USAC or All Stars race? How about an ASCS national race?
Sorry.. .but that dog don't hunt.
Kistler, Shaver, Don Ott... any of them & you're in the ballpark IMO with the WoO. Without question Speedway made some stout motors last year for Joey, if KKR are using the same builder for the team this year they haven't forgotten anything apparently.
Wesmar 360 without question to me. Yes, some others are building them now (where ya been all these years?)... and I'd stick with the original.

You can have all the HP money can buy, but if you can't hook your car up then what good is it.
Obviously Rick Long is doing a fabulous job for KKR, but all the big builders are pretty close in HP, that again you have to get the car hooked up to make the most of it.
So the question should be, "Who is setting up Joey's car each night?"
Willie and Kale Kahne along with Coot are the men in the pits right now, as they are giving Joey a car that is consistently up front if not in the winners circle each night. =

The "best" is whoever is in victory lane that night. Motors, chassis', drivers.

Does Rick long build engines exclusively for KKR, like Charlie Garrett for Jason Meyer's team, or can anyone buy them from him?

I've seen a couple Garretts around other than Jason. I think Long is all KKR.

Charlie Garrett no longer builds NEW engines for any other team but Meyers, but there are a few teams who still run his engines. An example is the #35 team that Justin Henderson runs in Central Pa. However one of his former employees Brian Morrision, now build engines for any new customers under the Morrison Race Engines banner in Spring Grove, Pa.. Lance Dewease and Kerry Madson's new #3 team run his engines. Both drivers/teams had connections with Garrett before his exclusive deal with Jason Meyers.

Heard that Kasey had so much Mopar Inventory that he pretty much had to stay the course with them this year even thought his Cup ride is afilliated with Roush/Yates motors. Add Charlie Fisher's motors to the list of the guys who are making 900+ H.P.
