One of the best shows I have seen with only 24 cars. Not all those 24 cars were injected motors too. Plenty of passing. Plenty of drama in the heats. How many people knew sprint cars had ejection seats in them? lol If you were there you know what I meant. I wonder if steering wheels will be considered concealed weapons now?
Robert Ballou car drive a non wing sprint car. Just about lapped the entire field. Had good things to say about the Sprint Bandit series and the plot thickens with him and USAC as well. Ballou and Taylor, subbing for Wayne Johnson, were back and forth early on.
Got out of Creek about 11 11:30. Got home at 12:30 or so. Good job Creek County.

Also had a good Factory Stock race. Man that Station Wagon can run. Heard that Nick Smith may need a new steering wheel as his is bent and he also may need bail money.

Factory stock feature was a good one as well.

Does O'Reilly's sell those wraparound steering wheel covers that are padded to fit a sprint car steering wheel ?

I have been following sprint car racing now for over 50 years, and last night's race at Creek County Speedway was one of the best I ever saw. There is one key reason for the success of the race last night and that is track preparation. The track was just perfect (moist and tacky) with some cars doing a wheelie down the backstretch. My favorite thing I watch for is two or more cars battling for the lead thru traffic. This is when you get to see who can drive and who can't. Robert Ballou reminded me of Steve Kinser as he threaded his way thru traffic without slowing.
