Jim I gotta tell you......the Chico Chamber of Commerce had a celebration this evening honoring Sierra Nevada for its 30 years of excellance. The location was at the fairgrounds and on the way in I wasn't paying attention obviously. The entrance to the festival was the formal fairgrounds entrance and everything was in that area. The booths, the band, the BBQ competition, and every bit of it was in that south west corner of the fairgrounds. It wasn't until we were on our way out that I noticed how big those redwoods have gotten. It blew me away and I wish I had a camera. I just wanted you to know how healthy those trees are and how much being there when they were planted means to those of us who were there. The pond across the way still looks fantastic as well.....

Thanks Chris, I appreciate the report and memory.

For various reasons, I haven't been there since the '08 Bradway and Jen's tree was getting big then. I have very fond memories of that day and those who were there and made it happen. By the way, that day was seven years ago this past February 1st.
