Cody Morris, TULSA,OK (June 14 2010) - The Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions will invade the regional hub of micro racing this Friday and Saturday, June 18th and 19th at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a duel against one of the most competitive and talented collection of micro drivers in the nation.
The Port City weekend double will mark the finale of five consecutive weekends of Lucas Oil ASCS2 competition as the series will rest and reload for an Independence Day Special at Dutton's Speedway in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. Both evening's of action atop the high banked, 1/8th mile Port City bullring will be Lucas Oil ASCS2 point events.
After celebrating his first career Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw victory in May 8th I-44 Speedway action, Sapulpa, Oklahoma's rising star Blake Hahn leads the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw division into Port City by 36 points over Norman, Oklahoma upstart Christopher Bell.
Hahn has been on a roll since his first Outlaw triumph, reeling off 3 consecutive podium finishes over Memorial Holiday Weekend competition, including a pair of top 5 finishes in the Inaugural Chad McDaniel Memorial at Solomon Valley Raceway in Beloit, KS.
Bixby, Oklahoma's reigning 2009 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Champion Kevin Bayer comes into the event 3rd in Outlaw points, 79 points back of Hahn, while Pryor, Oklahoma's Frank "The Legendary" Flud sits 4th in Outlaw points a mere 17 points behind Bayer.
After having his 5 race overall winning streak in Outlaw competition come to an epic end in a dramatic liftoff in local Port City action, "The Legendary Blue Wazoo" will still bring a streak into the weekend, having won the 2 most recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw feature events.
While entering the Port City double 2nd in Outlaw points, Norman, Oklahoma's Christopher Bell will bring a scant 14 point lead over Pauls Valley, Oklahoma shoe Steven Shebester in the action packed Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing division.
Bell tolls into the event upon the strength of 3 consecutive podium finishes in Non Wing action, including a Lucas Oil ASCS2 Port City triumph May 29th. A winner in three of the 4 inaugural 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget events, Collinsville, Oklahoma's Tyler Thomas rides into the weekend 3rd in Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing points, trailing Bell by 87 points.
West Plains, Missouri talent Logan Martin leads the hotly contested Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted division into Port City double by the slimmest of margins. Martin's recent May 30th Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted triumph at Creek County Speedway was just enough to claim an 11 point advantage over Coweta, Oklahoma pilot Chance Morton.
A winner in the most recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted action at Creek County Speedway June 11th, Hulbert, Oklahoma's 15 year old lightning bolt Karley Kay Dobson will bring her familiar pink and black no. 28 Stallard machine into Port City action third in Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted points, trailing Martin by 66 points.
Just two points back from Dobson, 16 year old Sand Springs, Oklahoma native Dalton Wisely enters the weekend fourth in Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted points. Wisely also enters the Port City double as a favorite of sorts, having swept Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted competition at Port City Raceway May 28th and 29th.
