This move is sheer genius as there will now be two dirt tracks within probably 7 or 8 miles of each other both competing for the Tucson race spectator market.

Yeah, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that sees that as kinda odd. You know, this is just SO typical of the crap you have to deal with these days...... What about all the racers who've got their life savings wrapped up in pavement equipment?? They're friggen YARD ART now!! Yeah, I know this is a dirt sprint car forum but there ARE people out there who like pavement racing. You've got that segment of the market, so WORK the damned market! TRP is for all intents and purposes the only paved track in a 400 mile radius. Now you want to compete in an already saturated market against a track that's basicly across the STREET?? Man, I REALLY don't get it!!

Im just curious who the person is at TRP that made this decision? Not exactly the best thing for short track racing. There are only so many fans and racers to go around. Seems to me like things are going pretty darn well at USA, so the Tucson fans are happy. Why this now? It just makes no sense to me. There is no way they can go head to head. I dont see running Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday working. The fans only have so much money. It seems to me the only chance they have is to stagger weekends. Not very fair to Kevin and Benji though. That would give them less weekends to possibly make money to pay there Lease.
I guess everything is fair in business. But I also believe What goes around, Comes around.

i dont think two dirt tracks are a good idea. 1. i think its an economical wrong move.....
2. Tucson is small market town
