Cody Morris, TULSA,OK (June 6 2010) - Continuing into its 4th of five consecutive weekends of open wheel excitement, the Lucas Oil ASCS2 series rolls into Creek County Speedway Friday, June 11th, before heading a few hours down Interstate 44 to historic Lawton Speedway for a Saturday, June 12th Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget showing.
Emmett Hahn Promotions presents Friday's Creek County special featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midgets in only their 3rd running in the inaugural 2010 ASCS2 Midget campaign. The Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions of the Lucas Oil ASCS2 series will also be on hand for Friday's Creek County event in a non points, exhibition style showcase.
The event marks the 2nd ever Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget event contested at Creek County Speedway, after Collinsville, Oklahoma's Tyler Thomas graced victory lane with a May 21st triumph over Bixby, Oklahoma's Kevin Bayer and Glenpool, Oklahoma native Matt Ward.
The event also marks the third visit of the 2010 campaign for the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions. In the recent May 30th ASCS2 stop at Creek County Speedway, Pryor, Oklahoma's Frank Flud would best both the Outlaw division and Mother Nature's rapidly advancing line of late May thunderstorms. Pauls Valley, Ok ace Steven Shebester and West Plains, Mo pilot also took victory lane honors in the Non Wing and Restricted main events, respectively.
Frank “The Legendary” Flud enters Creek County with the hot hand, having aced local I-44 Speedway and Port City Raceway Outlaw action since his aforementioned Lucas Oil ASCS2 Creek County triumph.
The Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midgets will then break away from their series' counterparts the following evening with a June 12th Lawton Speedway showing to conclude the weekends Lucas Oil ASCS2 action. The event will mark the second visit of the inaugural 2010 season for the Lucas Oil ASCS2 midgets. One night after winning the inaugural running of the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget series at Creek County Speedway, Tyler Thomas continued his winning ways with a hotly contested May 22nd triumph over Sapulpa, Oklahoma’s emerging open wheel star Blake Hahn.
