Will be heading down there for my first race at Ventura since 2006 Wagsdash. Looking forward to it....I go to tons of wing 410 and 360 races all the time and USAC 360's and 410's races, but never to a VRA race so this will be a first for me. Hope to see some of Hosers there!
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

Ralphie you are welcome anywhere. Just to be sure, check with Mayor Mike if he has any outstanding warrants on you.
Mr.rj5150 would like to have a chat with you about Trophy Cup and other wing things. Look for a large guy with a Kevin Kierce shirt on.

No problem....i'll be the guy with sunglasses on and a Hockett 75 shirt on that i purchased from him at the Trophy Cup 3 yrs. ago......great individual and will be sorely missed in ALL of sprintcar racing.

A nice, well run facility in such a unique setting and conveniently located for a large number of racers and race fans. It would be a sad, bad day for dirt track racing if this place were to ever shut down.

Kevin Kierce, it was my 3rd time down to Ventura from Santa Maria and my first VRA only show (2 wags dashes under my belt). It was one hell of a main event. We sat in turn 1 bleachers and I liked the perspective a lot. The racing action after Naylor reworked the track was just plain fantastic. We had a great time. Some of the security staff can be a little thick headed and lets say -- less than pleasant-- but the racing and experience was fantastic. I will be back again on another sprint car off night at Santa Maria. I like the way the track enlargement changes have made the racing really multi grooved, at least from my eyes.
PS-I was predicting for you to win and at one point before the late caution I thought you were going to do it. Great night, I will be back.
PSS- We had no idea tailgating with a few beers before the races was such a taboo... nearly got ourselves thrown out before the races even started... luckily we were able to talk the security lady out of such drastic measures, that was a first for our bunch.
"Winged or non-winged its all about
the sprint cars for me!"
